Ralts -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Ralts BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the BREAKthrough set.  This is the first of two Ralts cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other Ralts card in this set is a fairy type Pokemon.  Ralts is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Nap, for one psychic energy card this move heals 30 damage from Ralts.  Ralts' second move is called Smack and for two colorless energy cards this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kirlia, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gallade and Gardevoir, you'll more than likely want to use this card with its evolution forms, which I'll be reviewing in the next couple of days and weeks, since there is a second Ralts card in this set which is a fairy type, Kirlia is a psychic type, Gallade is a fighting type Pokemon, and there is no Gardevoir in this set, but for now, I will be acting like this card will be used on its own.  So, by itself, this card would be a decent starter type Pokemon to use in a deck, and one that could be put into the active Pokemon spot later in the game if the defending Pokemon can't do more than 30 damage a turn.  Early on in a game, you could remove damage done to Ralts using Nap and then do 20 damage a turn with Smack, and since this move requires colorless energy cards it makes Ralts easier to use, later in games, if you're forced to put Ralts into the active Pokemon spot, you should be able to prolong its use by continually using Nap.  If you're building a psychic type deck, I would consider this card for sure.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set.  There really is no complaints from me on this card, it has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two good moves, one that heals damage and the other that inflicts an average amount of damage each turn.  So like I said above, this card isn't amazing by any means, but it is definitely worth considering when building a deck.
