Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Regice from the Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Set. Regice is a basic, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 120, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Regice does not have an Ancient Trait or an Ability but it does have two moves. The first move that this card has is called Ice Beam, for two energy cards, one each of colorless and water, this move does 30 damage, plus it paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin. Regice's second move is called Resistance Blizzard and for three energy cards, two colorless and one water, this move does 70 damage, plus during Regice's next turn, all effects of an attack, including damage, are prevented from attacking Pokemon EX.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Regice is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card. With that being said, the only reason you would want to use this card in a deck would be for Resistance Blizzard and its ability to prevent EX Pokemon's attacks. So, if you are building a water type deck, put one of these in your deck, set it up on the bench, and if your opponent puts an EX card in the active Pokemon spot, move Regice into the active Pokemon spot and use Resistance Blizzard every turn. You'll want to make sure and have a Switch trainer or two in your deck to be able to retreat Regice without giving up three energy cards.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Ancient Origins set that is above average against EX Pokemon cards. Because of this fact, I would recommend using it in almost all water type decks. So you really can't go wrong with using this card in a deck other than having a high retreat cost, this card has a high HP, and two decent moves.

True. You have a Regice Gold Star in your Pokemon card collection, which is worth quite a lot of money. Even in the 'Played' condition, it is worth $42.99 on Troll and Toad, while a PSA 9 Mint is worth $85.82 on eBay.
