Foongus -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Foongus from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Foongus is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 40.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to water type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Cherubi does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move Foongus has is called Astonish, this move requires one colorless energy card and forces you to flip a coin, if and only if you get a heads you can move a random card from your opponent's hand back into their deck.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Foongus is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Amoonguss, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, I would not use Foongus in a deck on its own.  I say this because Foongus has a terribly low hp, and only one move, and a pretty bad one at that.  If for some reason you have to put this card in your deck, I would keep it out of the active Pokemon spot at all times, because the only thing you can do if you're in the active Pokemon spot if wait until it gets knocked out while trying to move some cards from your opponent's hand into their deck, and that is only if you're lucky.   I would not include this card in any deck of mine and you shouldn't either, especially without Amoonguss.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a dreadful basic Pokemon card.  This card is one of the worst cards I've reviewed in awhile, I do not like it at all.  To start, it has a low hp, and to finish this card can't do any damage, and the only thing it can do, move a card from your opponent's hand to their deck, isn't a for sure thing and won't do as much as discarding would have done.  Stay away from this card at all costs.
