Hydreigon #98/124 -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Hydreigon Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hydreigon from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two consecutive Hydreigon card reviews I'll be doing from this set.  Hydreigon is a stage 2, dragon type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150.  Hydreigon is the stage 2 evolution of Zweilous, and before that Deino, both of those Pokemon I have reviewed the past couple of days, and both of those Pokemon are in this set.  Hydreigon has a x2 weakness to dragon type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Unlike yesterday's card which had an Ability, this Hydreigon card does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move is called Consume and for three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, this move does 40 damage and allows you to heal the amount of damage you did to the defending Pokemon using this move from Hydreigon.  Hydreigon's second move is called Destructor Beam and for four energy cards, one psychic, one darkness, and two colorless, this move does 90 damage and if you get a heads when you flip a coin, you may remove an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hydreigon is a stage 2 Pokemon, I would recommend evolving Deino into Zweilous and then Zweilous into Hydreigon on your bench.  I would get three or four energy cards on Hydreigon and move it into the active Pokemon spot.  Once there, depending on the amount of energy cards attached to Hydreigon will determine the move you will use.  The hope is to be able to use Destructor Beam every turn, unless the defending Pokemon will be knocked out with 40 damage or less then make sure to use Consume because you'll heal damage from Hydreigon as well when using that move.  After reviewing both Hydreigon cards from this set, both are about equal in my opinion, so I would suggest using a 4-3-2 line of Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon in a deck containing psychic and darkness type Pokemon.  I would use 1 each of the Hydreigon cards from this set.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  This card is very similar to yesterday's Hydreigon card which I gave a 4 out of 5 rating, this card doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves which are both good, plus this card has a high hp that seems even higher if you take into account Consume which will remove damage from Hydreigon.  So after reviewing both cards, I think both Hydreigon cards are worth using, and I would recommend both.
