Vullaby -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Vullaby Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Vullaby from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set.  Vullaby is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Vullaby does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Leer and for one colorless energy card this move paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when flipping a coin.  Vullaby's second move is called Cutting Wind and for three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, this move does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Vullaby is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Mandibuzz, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, the strategy is quite simple, do not use this card!  I say this because you need three energy cards on this card in order to attack and even then, it isn't smart to put that many energy cards on a card with an HP of only 60, and Cutting Wind does well below average damage anyway.  Also, there is no reason to use this card as a starter type Pokemon and try and paralyze the defending Pokemon every turn to give you time to set up your own Pokemon because that move requires a coin flip, meaning you won't necessarily get a heads every turn.  So unless you just love Vullaby and want to use it in your deck, stay away from this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Mandibuzz, this is a well below average card.  I do like that it has two moves and a solid HP, but neither move is very good and it is just way too slow on the attack.  So definitely look elsewhere for Basic, darkness type Pokemon cards to use in your deck.

Vullaby -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Vullaby Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Vullaby from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Vullaby is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to lightning type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Vullaby does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Gust, this move requires one darkness energy card and does 10 damage.  Vullaby's second move is called Razor Wing, and for two energy cards, one each of colorless and darkness, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Vullaby is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Mandibuzz, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll probably want to use this card with that Pokemon.  With that being said, this card would be okay to use on its own in a deck assuming you have some dark energy cards in it.  This card will do well right away since it can attack for only one energy card and it will do decent later in the game because it can do more than just 10 damage.  I would consider putting 1 Vullaby card in a deck that needs one more Pokemon card.  I wouldn't put too many of these cards in a deck because they do have a lower hp for a basic Pokemon, but whenever you get this card in the active Pokemon spot just use whichever move you have enough energy for.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  The only below average thing on this card is that it has a somewhat low hp, but it does have two solid moves and a low retreat cost to make up for this.  So like I said in the strategy section of this review, if you need one more Pokemon in your deck, this one may not be a bad one to add.

Vullaby -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Vullaby Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Vullaby from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is a basic, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to electric type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Vullaby doesn't have an Ability and it only has one move called Whirlwind which takes one darkness energy card and does 10 damage, plus it makes your opponent switch out their active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Mandibuzz, you'll want to evolve Vullaby into Mandibuzz as soon as possible because Mandibuzz has a much higher hp, and can do a lot more damage, however Vullaby is a great starter Pokemon and a great Pokemon to use after you either knock out one of the defending Pokemon or you retreat one of your own, I would move Vullaby into the active Pokemon spot and then use Whirlwind one turn, make the opponent put in a Pokemon they don't want to, then the next turn evolve Vullaby into Mandibuzz, you also could just use Vullaby every once in awhile to switch your opponent's active Pokemon, then the next turn retreat Vullaby back for one energy card.  If I were to use Vullaby in a deck I would use a 2-1 line of Vullaby and Mandibuzz.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a very solid basic Pokemon card.  I would consider it for almost any deck, just bare in mind that it requires a darkness energy card.  There isn't anything too special about this card, it is very average yet once again very solid.
