Seedot -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Seedot from the Steam Siege set.  Seedot is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an HP of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Seedot does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Bide, for one grass energy card, this move says that if you get a heads when flipping a coin, if Seedot gets knocked out during your opponent's next turn, instead of being knocked out, Seedot instead of 10 remaining HP.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Seedot is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Nuzleaf, and a Stage 2 evolution in Shiftry, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Seedot does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, this card cannot be used on its own, mainly because its only move is geared towards evolving Seedot, essentially Bide gives you extra time to find Nuzleaf and get it into play without Seedot being knocked out.  Of course, on its own, this card has no use and to me cannot be reviewed properly on its own.  So you'll have to read tomorrow's review to get a better understanding of this card.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 0 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very poor Basic Pokemon card that really can't be used on its own, thus the 0 rating.  Since this card can't do any damage when attacking and is really only a placeholder to get to Nuzleaf, this card can't be used on its own, and to me, doesn't ever deserve to be put in the active Pokemon spot.

Seedot -- BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Seedot from the BREAKpoint set.  Seedot is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an HP of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Seedot does not have an Ability and it only has one move which is called Ram and does 10 damage for one colorless energy card.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Seedot is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Nuzleaf, and a Stage 2 evolution in Shiftry, which I'll be reviewing in a few weeks, since both are darkness type Pokemon, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Seedot does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, the first thing you'll notice is that this card can be used in any type deck since it only requires colorless energy to attack, however because it has a low HP, you would need to put this card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, or not use it in a deck at all.  Of course, once in the active Pokemon spot you can only use Ram every turn, and unless you attach an Item card to this card to increase its HP, this card shouldn't be used, since it will get knocked out quickly later in games.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKpoint set.  There are some positives on this card, like Seedot's retreat cost, and the fact it only needs one energy card to attack, but this card has too low of an HP and is too limited in what it can do to warrant use in a deck, thus the below average rating.

Seedot -- Flashfire Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Seedot from the Flashfire set.  Seedot is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Seedot does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Call for Family, this move requires one colorless energy card to use and allows you to search your deck for a basic Pokemon and put it onto your bench.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Seedot is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Nuzleaf and a stage 2 evolution in Shiftry, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I probably wouldn't use this card in a deck, I would much rather use a trainer card that does the same thing as this card can do but you don't have to place a trainer card in the active Pokemon spot.  So if you don't want to use that strategy, I would use no more than one of these cards in your deck, try your hardest to get it into the active Pokemon spot, use Call for Family a couple of turns then retreat Seedot to your bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Flashfire set.  If you aren't using this card with its evolutions, it doesn't make much sense to use this card since it has a low hp and can't attack.  If you're using it by itself a trainer card would be a much better card to use instead of this card.  So we'll see how the other two Pokemon rate in this family but this card is definitely a poor start to this line.
