Krookodile -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Krookodile Sun and Moon Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Krookodile from the Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Set.  Krookodile is a Stage 2, Darkness type Pokemon card, with a HP of 150.  It has a x2 weakness to Fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Psychic type Pokemon, and a three Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Krookodile does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called False Accusation, for two Colorless Energy cards, this move does 20 damage plus 20 more damage for each card in your opponent's hand.  Krookodile's second move is called Obsidian Fang, for three Energy cards, two Darkness and one Colorless, this move does 120 damage, plus, before doing the damage, all Pokemon Tool cards attached to your opponent's Active Pokemon can be discarded.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Krookodile is a Stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Sandile into play and then evolve it into Krokorok before you can evolve Krokorok into Krookodile, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last two days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards combined were below average.  Although both Sandile and Krokorok had solid HP and a good variety of moves, both cards were somewhat slow on the attack and not that powerful.  So knowing this about Sandile and Krokorok and looking at this Krookodile card, you could use a 1-1-1 line of this Pokemon family, attaching just a single Double Colorless Energy card to Krookodile on the Bench, then when your opponent has a full hand, move Krookodile to the Active Pokemon spot and do major damage.  Of course, if Pokemon Tool cards are something you think your opponent will depend on, certainly put three Energy cards on Krookodile and use Obsidian Fang.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Sun and Moon set.  Other than having to wait for a good opportunity to use False Accusation, this card is solid overall, not only can it do major damage, but it can attack fairly quickly.  Altogether, I would give this line a 2 out of 5 rating, it can be considered, but it shouldn't be the main Pokemon line in a deck.

Krookodile -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Krookodile Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Krookodile from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Krookodile is a stage 2, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 140.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Krookodile does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Bother, for three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, this move does 50 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, your opponent cannot play any supporter cards during their next turn.  Krookodile's second and final move is called Knock Back, this move requires four energy cards, two each of darkness and colorless, and does 80 damage, plus your opponent must switch their active Pokemon with one of their benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Krookodile is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Sandile into play and then evolve it into Krokorok before you can evolve Krokorok into Krookodile, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  Both of these cards are average so they could be used in a deck without Krookodile, but of course you'd like to use them with their final evolution.  Because Krookodile is at least an average card, you can definitely use this entire Pokemon family in a deck.  I would like to zone in specifically on this Krookodile card and its move called Knock Back.  Because this move does 80 damage and then sends that Pokemon to the bench, it is pretty much a spread damage type move, so you'll want to include this Pokemon in a spread damage type deck.  I wouldn't include more than a 3-2-2 line of Sandile, Krokorok, and Krookodile in your deck since all three evolutions are slow, but this line is definitely a line a deck can be built around.  Krookodile would be your main Pokemon and then you would need several Pokemon with moves that do 10 or 20 damage to each of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  That way you could use Knock Back several turns, retreat it to your bench, and spread damage around using that other Pokemon, knocking out multiple Pokemon at once.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average stage 2 Pokemon card from the X and Y set that would work perfectly in a spread damage type deck.  The reason I'm not giving this card more than an average rating is because of its slowness and high retreat cost.  But overall, this Pokemon family could definitely be used in a deck and get a 4 out of 5 rating from me, individually each of the Pokemon in this line were 3 out of 5.

Krookodile -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Krookodile Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Krookodile from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set. The first move that this card has is called Piston Headbutt, this move requires one darkness energy card and does 30 damage, plus you may move an energy card attached to your opponent's active Pokemon to one of their benched Pokemon.  Krookodile's second move is called Hammer In, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, and does 80 damage.

The first two Pokemon in this line from Plasma Freeze are way  below average, so in order for me to want to use this card I would really have to like Krookodile or look to other Sandile and Krokorok cards from other sets.  So with that in mind, I would not recommend using Krookodile from this set with the Plasma Freeze Sandile and Krokorok cards.  I say this because neither of Krookodile's moves make me want to use it that badly.  Hammer In does do above average damage, but there are plenty of other cards out there that also do that kind of damage.  Plus with a high retreat cost, if you have to retreat Krookodile, you have to potentially discard all of the energy cards you put on it for Hammer In.  So again, I would not use Krookodile in a deck, but if you choose to I would only use a 2-1-1 line of Sandile, Krokorok, and Krookodile in a darkness type deck.  I would make sure not to move Sandile or Krokorok into the active Pokemon spot, I would evolve them into Krookodile on the bench and then put three energy cards on it and use Hammer In every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average stage 2 Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon card set.  Even though I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck, I still think this card is alright on the surface, it has a good hp, and two decent moves, actually one above average.  But if you look at Krookodile as a whole with Sandile and Krokorok, I cannot recommend using them together in a deck.  Altogether I would give this line a 1 out of 5 rating, I have given the cards individually a 1, 2, and 3 out of 5 rating respectively, but I just want to make sure that no one plans on using this Pokemon family in their deck because it just isn't good.

Krookodile -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Krookodile Dark Explorers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Krookodile from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is a stage 2, darkness type Pokemon card, with an hp of 150.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Krookodile does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Dark Clamp and for three energy cards, two colorless and one darkness, it dos 60 damage and prevents the opposing Pokemon from retreating during their next turn.  Krookodile's second move is called Bombast and for four energy cards, two each of colorless and darkness, it does 40 damage times the number of prize cards you have taken.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since this is a stage 2 Pokemon card that needs awhile to evolve and requires at least 3 energy cards to attack, I would recommending setting this card up on your bench.  Krookodile is a late game finisher, so I would put four energy cards on Krookodile, and when you need to knock out one or two Pokemon to win the game I would put Krookodile into the active Pokemon spot and use Bombast doing 160 damage the first time and then 200 damage the second time and then winning the game.  If for some reason Krookodile is in the active Pokemon spot before you are able to knock out 2 of your opponent's Pokemon you'll want to use Dark Clamp instead.  I would recommend having a 4-3-2 line of Krookodile, Krokorok, and Sandile in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  Towards the end of games this card is a guarantee on letting you win since it can do so much damage that's why I'm giving this card such a high rating, just make sure it isn't knocked out and you can knock out pretty much any Pokemon in 1 move when you've taken 4 and 5 prize cards and are about to win the game.  As long as you can build your deck to start winning early, this has to be one of the best closers out there, and I definitely recommend this card for any deck it is likely to fit.
