Klefki -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Klefki from the Steam Siege Pokemon Card Set.  Klefki is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with a HP of 70, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Klefki's Ability is called Wonder Lock and says that if Klefki is on your bench, you may choose to discard all cards attached to it, and then use Klefki as a Pokemon Tool card, the Pokemon card this card is attached to is prevented from being attacked by Mega EX Pokemon.  After one use of this Ability, Klefki must be discarded.  Besides the Ability, Klefki just has one move called Fairy Wind, this move does 30 damage for two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Klefki is a basic Pokemon with no evolution forms, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, the main reason you'll want to use this card in a deck is for its Ability, since you can use this card to prevent Mega EX cards from attacking your active Pokemon.  If you're using Klefki in this fashion, I could see using up to 4 of these in a deck, or use less but use Trainer cards to get them back into play from the discard pile.  Besides the Ability, Fairy Wind is a solid move, but not one that makes this card that important to use when deck building.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Basic Pokemon card from the Steam Siege set.  Even though there really isn't anything special about the one move that this card has, or its somewhat low HP of 70, this card is above average based solely on its Ability and its function as a Pokemon Tool card.  With Mega Pokemon very popular in the TCG, this is a great way to do damage to them while not taking any damage from your active Pokemon.  So, this card is a Mega EX stopper and can be used in any type deck.

Klefki -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Klefki from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  Klefki is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 60, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Klefki does not have an Ancient Trait or an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Look for Keys, this move requires one fairy type energy card to use and allows you to reveal cards on your deck until you get an Item card, putting this card in your hand, and then shuffling the revealed cards back into your deck.  Klefki's second move is called Play Rough, this move requires two energy cards to use, one each of fairy and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin the move does 20 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Klefki is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card should be used as a starter type Pokemon card if it is used in a deck at all, since it has such a low HP.  I of course with this card could do damage for only one energy card, but being able to do potentially 40 damage for only two energy cards is pretty good.  I would recommend using this card in a deck if you have quick a few Item cards in your deck and you want to use them quickly, otherwise I probably wouldn't use this card in a deck mainly because it has a lower HP for a card that doesn't evolve and it only has one attacking move.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Roaring Skies set.  There just isn't anything that really stands out to me on this card, its HP would be good for a card that evolves but this one doesn't, I am not a fan of moves that don't do any damage or inflict special conditions, and I don't like moves that are based on coin flips.  So like I said, unless you're building a fairy type deck with a lot of Item cards, do not use this Klefki card in your deck.

Klefki -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Klefki from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Set.  Klefki is a basic, metal type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, it has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to psychic type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Klefki does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Call for Family, this move requires one metal energy card and it allows you to search for 2 basic Pokemon from your deck and put them onto your bench.  Klefki's second move is called Dull Light, this move requires two energy cards, one each of metal and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus it confuses the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Klefki is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card could definitely be used in a metal type deck as a starter type Pokemon because it can perform a move for only one energy card and get your bench set up fast, but I would rather use a Trainer card instead of this card in a deck.  If you do choose to use this card in your deck, make sure and not use more than one of Klefki, get it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game and get two energy cards on it, so once you get two Basic Pokemon on your bench, you can use Dull Light every turn and confuse the defending Pokemon, thus giving you even more time to set up your benched Pokemon if your opponent tries attacking and ends up doing damage to themselves.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set.  Other than just being able to do a maximum of 20 damage a turn, this card will work well as a starter.  It has a high HP, and two decent moves, one that can help you set up your bench, the other a move that does average damage plus confuses the defending Pokemon.  So if you're building a metal type deck and need one more card to use in it, this card is definitely a possibility.

Klefki -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Klefki from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Klefki is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 60, it has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Klefki's Ability is called Secret Key and says that each of your fairy Pokemon's resistance is now 40.  Besides the Ability, Klefki just has one move called Fairy Lock, this move requires two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless, and does 30 damage, plus it makes your opponent unable to retreat during their next turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Klefki is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I would highly recommend using at least one of these Klefki cards if you're building a fairy type deck, all you would have to do is sit this card on your bench the whole game to utilize its Ability and if you're facing for example darkness type Pokemon, which many fairy type Pokemon are resistant to, you can reduce 40 from their attacks.  But I would go even further with this Klefki card and recommend using more than one of these in a deck so you can use Klefki in the starter Pokemon spot.  All you have to do is put two energy cards on Klefki and it can do 30 damage a turn which will knock out most Basic Pokemon in two turns.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There really isn't anything I dislike about this card.  It has an average HP and retreat cost, a very good Ability if you're using a fairy type deck, and a good move, albeit a tad slow, but definitely a worthy move.  So if you're building a fairy type deck, I would recommend giving this Klefki card a long, hard look.
