Gothita -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Guardians Rising set.  Gothita a Basic, Psychic type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to Psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  Its only move is called Blown Kiss, for one Psychic Energy card this move allows you to put 1 damage counter on one of your opponent's Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Gothorita, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Gothita does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, this card could certainly be used as a starter type Pokemon, in both a Psychic type deck and a spread attack type deck. You could get this card into the Active Pokemon spot to start the game and then either attack the defending Pokemon or one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon for only one Energy card.  This is a great start to the Gothitelle line, but if you want to use this card on its own, it could be used solo too.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Other than being limited by only having one move and only being able to do a maximum of 10 damage per turn, this card is very solid.  It has an average HP, low retreat cost, and I like the fact it can attack very quickly, and do damage to any of your opponent's Pokemon.  This card will make a solid starter type Pokemon in a Psychic or spread attack type deck.

Gothita -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Fates Collide set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move this card has is  called Psybeam, which requires two colorless energy cards to use and does 20 damage, plus it confuses the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Gothorita, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, you'll more than likely want to use this card with those two Pokemon, however those two Pokemon do not have cards in this set, so if you want to use this entire family, the newest set those two Pokemon have been in is Furious Fists.  So, looking at Gothita on its own, the only way I would consider using this card is if you plan on using 4 Double Colorless energy cards in your deck, that way Gothita could be used as a starter type Pokemon and need only one energy card to attack.  Psybeam is a solid move overall, and I think is worth two energy cards to use it too.  But, because it is a little slower on the attack, it doesn't make much sense to include 4 of these cards in a deck and trying to make it the main Pokemon you start the game with.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Fates Collide set.  Other than requiring two energy cards to attack, this card is solid overall, with an average HP, low retreat cost, and an excellent move, that does average damage plus inflicts a special condition.  So if you're building a deck and are looking for a Basic Pokemon to use, I would definitely consider this Gothita card.

Gothita -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Furious Fists set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Slap, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Gothita's second move is called Psy Bolt, for two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, the move does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin you can paralyze the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Gothorita and a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I probably wouldn't use this card.  But if I were to use this card with its evolutions I would be very willing to use this card as a starter Pokemon.  If you do choose to use this Pokemon on its own, I would try and get it into the active Pokemon spot as early in the game as possible, then use Slap the first turn and Psy Bolt every turn after that.  If you're able to flip a heads when using Psy Bolt, you will be able to prolong the time Gothita will be in the active Pokemon spot and allow you to better set up your bench.  The main reason I wouldn't use this card in a deck on its own is because of Gothita's low HP, but only being able to do a maximum of 10 damage is also a major reason.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Like I mentioned above, this card will be better when using it with Gothorita and Gothitelle, but by itself, this card has too low of HP for my liking and can only do 10 damage which isn't very good for a Basic, starter type Pokemon.  So if you're building a psychic type deck, this card wouldn't be the best card to use in it, but it could definitely be used.

Gothita -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Pound, this move requires one psychic energy card and does 10 damage.  Gothita's second move is called Psypunch, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita has a stage 1 evolution in Gothorita, and a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle (in the Dragons Exalted set), I would more than likely include both of these evolution Pokemon in a deck with Gothita.  However with that being said, Gothita is an outstanding starter Pokemon which can be used on its own in a psychic type deck.  I would put up to 3 Gothita Pokemon cards in a deck depending on the number of other basic Pokemon cards you have in your deck.  I would try and put Gothita into the active Pokemon spot immediately then depending on the amount of energy cards attached to it, use either Pound or Psypunch.  This card will work well in dual type decks because it requires little to no psychic energy cards to use its attacks.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card and a basic Pokemon card that can be used on its own and is a very solid start to a Pokemon line that ends with a stage 2 Pokemon.  There really isn't anything I dislike about this card, it has average hp, a low retreat cost, and two very solid moves.  I guess you could always hope for an Ability as well, but regardless this is a great basic Pokemon card that is a great starter Pokemon for a deck.

Gothita -- Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Future Sight which requires one psychic energy card and allows you to look at the top 5 cards of your deck put them back on top of your deck in any order.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita has a stage 1 evolution in Gothorita, and a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, there is absolutely no reason to put this card into the active Pokemon spot if it hasn't evolved into at least its stage 1 evolution.  My main reason for saying this is that Gothita cannot do any damage at all, and you can easily perform Future Sight by using a combination of trainer and supporter cards.  So after just reviewing this card, I cannot recommend using Gothita on its own.  Strategy wise if you put Gothita into the active Pokemon spot, you have to hope you can evolve it immediately, otherwise if you can't, you have no choice to perform Future Sight every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very poor basic Pokemon card.  It has below average hp, and has one terrible move that can't do any damage at all.  This is a card you'll never want to have to put in the active Pokemon spot, and if you do, especially against a stage 1 or stage 2 Pokemon, this card will be knocked out in no time.
