Musharna -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Musharna from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Musharna is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Musharna does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Precognitive Dream, for one psychic energy card this move allows you to draw three cards, however after this Musharna is put to sleep.  Musharna's second move is called Psybeam, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, and does 60 damage plus confuses the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Musharna is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Munna into play (I reviewed Munna from this set yesterday) and then evolve Munna into Musharna.  If you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Munna was a very solid basic Pokemon card that could easily be used on its own in a deck.  With that being said, if you're building a psychic type deck, I would definitely recommend using this Pokemon family in the deck, I would use either a 2-2 or 2-1 line of Munna and Musharna.  I would preferably get Munna into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, use both of its moves then evolve Munna into Musharna, attach one more energy card to it and use Psybeam every turn.  I would much rather add a few trainer cards to my deck that allow me to draw cards than to use Musharna's Precognitive Dream move and put Musharna to sleep.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average stage 1 Pokemon card from the Plasma Blast set.  This card has some very good things about it and some pretty poor things about it that make the card in the end balance out pretty well and make it an average card.  First off, Musharna's hp is above average, however its retreat cost is high.  Musharna's Psybeam move is very good, but its Precognitive Dream move is below average.  Altogether, the line of Munna and Musharna from this set get a 3 out of 5 rating from me, they are both average cards.  So if you need 3 or 4 more Pokemon to put into your psychic type deck, these ones should work nicely for you.
