Whismur -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Whismur Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Whismur from the Fates Collide set.  Whismur is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Whismur does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Pound and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Whismur's second move is called Round and for two colorless energy cards this move does 10 damage times the number of Pokemon you have in play with the Round move.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Whismur is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Loudred, and a Stage 2 evolution in Exploud, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Whismur does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, this card could definitely be used as a starter type Pokemon since it can be used in any type deck and can attack for only one energy card.  I wouldn't recommend this card too highly though because unless you have multiple of this line in play, Pound is the only move that will do any damage, because otherwise Round will only do 10 damage and there is no point in putting two energy cards on this card to do something one energy card can do.  So could this card work in a deck on its own, yes, but do I recommend using it, no.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a slightly below average Basic Pokemon card from the Fates Collide set.  Like I said in the strategy section of this post, this card does have some positives, since it is a colorless type Pokemon it can be used in any type deck, it can attack for only one energy card, and it has two moves.  However, this card is pretty limited in the amount of damage it can do and it has a higher retreat cost, so there are definitely better Basic Pokemon cards out there to use.

Whismur -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Whismur Phantom Forces Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Whismur from the Phantom Forces set. Whismur is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Whismur does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that it has is called Screaming Fit, for one colorless energy card this move confuses both Whismur and the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Whismur is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Loudred and a stage 2 evolution in Exploud, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would highly recommend avoiding this card at all costs.  Not only can this card do no damage at all, the only move it does has, confuses Whismur, and if you don't plan on evolving Whismur into Loudred there is no reason to use Whismur at all since it cannot attack.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very poor Basic Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set.  This is probably one of the worst cards from the Phantom Forces set if you're looking for a Basic Pokemon card to use in your deck.  Not only can this card do no damage at all, but it confuses itself in the process.  The only caveat with this card is that even though Whismur is confuses, it is not like one of its moves will backfire when using it, since it doesn't have a move that does any damage.  But again, avoid this card, and do not use this card in your deck.

Whismur -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Whismur Plasma Storm Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Whismur from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Whismur is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Whismur does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Shout, this move requires one colorless energy card and allows you discard a random card from your opponent's hand if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Whismur's second move is called Hyper Voice, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 30 damage.

So on its own, I would not recommend using this card in your deck.  I say this because even though Whismur has a high hp for a basic Pokemon with two evolutions, this card cannot do much at all.  It takes a long time to do damage with this card so it won't work as a starter Pokemon, and the move this card has that only requires one energy card isn't even guaranteed to make your opponent discard one of their cards.  So again, I would not use this card in a deck on its own.  If you choose to, you'll have to spend the time to put three energy cards on Whismur (preferably on the bench) and then use Hyper Voice every turn when it is in the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a way below average basic Pokemon card.  I can't fathom a case where I would put this card in a deck on its own.  I just don't like this card at all, even though it fits in any deck, has above average hp, and has two moves, I still don't like this card.  Like I mentioned in the strategy section of this post, Whismur cannot do much to the defending Pokemon, so no matter how high its hp is, it really doesn't matter because this card cannot do anything for you.
