Weedle -- Evolutions Pokemon Card Review

Weedle Evolutions Pokemon Card Review
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Weedle from the XY Evolutions set.  Weedle is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with a HP of 40.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Weedle does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Poison Sting, for one grass energy card this move does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, the defending Pokemon is now poisoned.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Weedle is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kakuna, and a Stage 2 evolution in Beedrill, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Weedle does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, very similarly to the Caterpie I reviewed a couple of days ago, if you can somehow figure out how to make Weedle have a higher HP, whether that be through a Trainer or through a Pokemon's Ability, this card would work as a starter type Pokemon since it can attack for one energy card and do not only damage but inflict a special condition.  However, if the plan of attack is to use this card and not increase its HP, 40 HP is way too low to ever have on a Pokemon in the active Pokemon spot, so it should either not be used at all, or be put on the bench and evolved there.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Evolutions Pokemon card set.  Like I mentioned in the strategy section of this post, because this card has such a low HP, it shouldn't be used in a deck, so if trying to use a Basic Pokemon card in a grass type deck, I would recommend looking elsewhere, starting off searching for a Pokemon with a higher HP than 40.

Weedle -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Weedle Primal Clash Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Weedle from the Primal Clash set.  This is the first card that I'll be reviewing from the Primal Clash set.  Weedle is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Weedle does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Multiply, this move requires one grass energy card to use and it allows you to search your deck for a Weedle and put it onto your bench.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Weedle is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Kakuna and a stage 2 evolution in Beedrill, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would avoid this card at all costs.  Not only can this card not do any damage, but the only move that this card has is to put more very poor Weedle cards into play.  So not only can I not recommend using one Weedle card in a deck, but I can highly recommend not using more than one Weedle card in a deck just to use Multiply.  Hopefully the evolutions of Weedle are much better, because the first card in the Primal Clash set is very poor.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a miserable and very poor Basic Pokemon card from the Primal Clash set, and hopefully the worst card in the set.  Not only does this card have a below average HP, but the only move this card has is suffocating at best, not being able to do any damage, and only putting more Weedle cards into play.  So stay away from this card at all costs.

Weedle -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Weedle Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Weedle from the X and Y Pokemon card set.  Weedle is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Weedle does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Leaf Munch, this move requires one grass energy card and does 10 damage plus 20 more damage if your opponent's Pokemon is a grass type Pokemon.

So on its own, this card would be a pretty decent card to use in a grass type deck.  This card is pretty basic and on par with most basic Pokemon cards that have stage 1 and stage 2 evolutions, so if you were to use this card on its own I wouldn't put more than 1 of these in a deck, because if you're not facing a grass type Pokemon, this card can only do 10 damage and with only 50 hp, the card will get knocked out quite quickly.  So of course, if you're using this card in your deck, you'll want to get it into the active Pokemon spot early, and use Leaf Munch every single turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  Besides having a bit lower hp than I would like, this card's one move can do above average damage, and the retreat cost on the card is low.  So if you need one more basic Pokemon to use in your grass type deck, this one would fit the bill, but this is just an average card, there are definitely better basic Pokemon out there you could be using.

Weedle -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Weedle Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Weedle from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  This card is actually the first card in the Plasma Freeze set, in the coming days and months I'll be reviewing every other Pokemon from this set.  Weedle is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Weedle does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Triple Stab, this move requires one grass energy card and does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip three coins.

So on its own, I would not recommend using this card in your deck.  I say this because even though Weedle can potentially do 30 damage for only one energy card, I do not trust this move enough to consistently do enough damage to warrant keeping the card in my deck, plus with only 50 hp on this card, if this card has to be put in the active Pokemon spot late in the game, it won't last more than a turn.  So I do not recommend using this card in a deck on its own, you'll have to wait until tomorrow's review to see if I recommend using Kakuna with this card.  However, if you are forced to use this card in your deck, you'll obviously have no choice but to use Triple Stab every turn when Weedle is in the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  I do like that this card can do up to 30 damage per turn and that its only move is pretty quick, but I don't like Weedle's below average hp, or the fact that its only move relies on coin flips.  So I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a basic, grass type Pokemon card to put in your deck.
