Tynamo -- Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Review

Tynamo Burning Shadows Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tynamo from the Burning Shadows set.  Tynamo is a Basic, Lightning type Pokemon card with a HP of 40.  It has a x2 weakness to Fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Metal type Pokemon, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move on this card is called Aqua Shock, for one Lightning Energy card, this move does 10 damage, plus, if your opponent's Active Pokemon has any Water Energy attached to it, this move does 30 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tynamo is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Eelektrik, and a Stage 2 evolution in Eelektross, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Tynamo does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, because this card has such a low HP, there is no reason to use it.  Potentially, if you're forced to put this card into the Active Pokemon spot in a game and if you're facing a Water type Pokemon, this card could knock that Pokemon out, but the chances are unlikely this happens, if you use this card to start the Eelektross line, it is best kept on the Bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a well below average Basic Pokemon card from the Burning Shadows set.  Starting with this card's extremely low HP and add in the fact that the card has just one move, you'll be able to see why this card shouldn't be used in a deck on its own.  The only way you should even consider this card is if you can someone increase its HP and/or if you're using this with Eelektrik and Eelektross.

Tynamo -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Tynamo Primal Clash Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tynamo from the Primal Clash set.  Tynamo is a basic, lightning type Pokemon card with an hp of 40.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to metal type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Tynamo does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Water Splash, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage plus 10 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tynamo is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Eelektrik and a stage 2 evolution in Eelektross, which I'll be reviewing the next three days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, this card doesn't have a high enough HP to warrant using in a deck.  Other than an extremely low HP, the move that this card does have, is pretty good, requiring only one energy card, of any type, and doing up to 20 damage a turn.  But unless you're not worried about getting knocked out right away, especially later in games, do not use this card in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Primal Clash set.  Like I said in the strategy section of this post, this card is basically not usable as a starter type Pokemon since it only has 40 for HP, however, other than that, the card is pretty good, having a low retreat cost, and a pretty good move, that does good damage and is pretty quick.  But overall, this card shouldn't be used in a deck unless it is being used to evolve into Eelektrik.

Tynamo -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Tynamo Plasma Blast Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Tynamo from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Tynamo is a basic, lightning type Pokemon card with an hp of 30.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Tynamo does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Razor Fin, for one lightning energy card this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Tynamo is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Eeletrik and a stage 2 evolution in Eelektross, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, even though this card's only move is pretty good, I would not use it in a deck.  The main reason I wouldn't use this card in a deck on its own is because it has such a low hp, and it will get knocked out right away, especially if you don't get it into the active Pokemon spot to start the game.  If you do plan on using this card in your deck, definitely do not use more than 1 without its evolutions, and your only option with this card is to use Razor Fin, I would use the card right away to start the game and retreat it as soon as possible.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  I am extremely tempted to give this card a 1 out of 5 rating just because its hp is so low, but Razor Fin is a good move, and its retreat cost is low, so I won't be giving it my lowest rating, however, I would not use this card in a deck unless you use it with its evolutions in Eeletrik and Eelektross.
