Surskit -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Surskit from the Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Set.  Surskit is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with a HP of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Surskit does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Quick Attack, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage, plus 10 more damage if you get a heads when flipping a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Surskit is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Masquerain, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, the first thing you'll notice about this card is that it only has 50 HP, meaning if you don't have a way to get it higher, there is no reason to use this card in a deck or the active Pokemon spot.  I do like that this card fits into all decks since it only requires one colorless energy card to attack and it can do up to 20 damage per turn which is good, but again, because of that low HP, I would much rather evolve Surskit on the bench, or know to only have it in the active Pokemon spot for one turn before evolving.  So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Masquerain, this is an average to slightly below average Basic Pokemon card overall from the Sun and Moon Pokemon card set.  Like I mentioned above, this card is solid overall other than its low HP, I like that it can fit into most decks and it can attack quickly, but ideally, when using a card on its own, it should either have an Ability that can be used from the bench, or a higher HP and a more powerful move.

Surskit -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Surskit from the Primal Clash Pokemon Card Set.  Surskit is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Surskit does not have an Ability and it only has one move called Stampede that does 10 damage for one colorless energy card.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Surskit is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Masquerain, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck, it is just too limited in what it can do and it has too low of an HP for my liking.  So unless you really really want to use Surskit in your deck or if this is the only card that can fit into your deck, do not use this card in a deck.  If you do use this card in a deck, it can be in any type deck since it requires a colorless energy card to attack, I wouldn't recommend using more than 1 of these, and you'll want to get this card into the active Pokemon spot early because it won't last long later in the game with such a low HP.  Of course, once it is in the active Pokemon spot, your only choice will be to use Stampede every turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Masquerain, this card is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  This card does have some positives about it even though I wouldn't use it in a deck, the one move it does have can be used with any type of energy card, it is quick on the attack, and the card has a low retreat cost.  But I am giving this card a below average rating mainly because of how limited the card is and its low HP, combining to not make this card usable later in games.

Surskit -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Surskit from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Surskit is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Surskit does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move this card has is called Sweet Scent, this move requires one grass energy card and allows you to heal 20 damage from one of your Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Surskit is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Masquerain, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, I would not suggest using Surskit in a deck.  The main reason I say this is because this card's only move doesn't do any damage to the defending Pokemon, and you can easily replace this card with a trainer card and add a better basic Pokemon card to your deck.  So if you don't plan on using this card without Masquerain, I would not use it in a deck.  Of course if you do use this card in your deck, you'll want to put this card on your bench, attach one grass energy card to it, and later on in the game when your Pokemon have damage on them, move Surskit into the active Pokemon spot, use Sweet Scent a couple of turns in a row and then retreat Surskit back to your bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an extremely below average basic Pokemon card.  This card is basically a trainer card and because of this I am giving this card my lowest rating.  This card has a below average hp, and the only move it has is disappointing.  This card is a poor way to start out with the Plasma Blast set, so I hope tomorrow's card will improve my impressions of this new set.
