Reshiram -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Reshiram Roaring Skies Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Reshiram from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  Reshiram is a basic, dragon type Pokemon card with an hp of 130, it has a x2 weakness to fairy type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Reshiram's Ability is called Turboblaze and says that once per turn if Reshiram is your active Pokemon you may attach a fire energy card to one of your dragon type Pokemon.  Besides the Ability, Reshiram just has one move called Bright Wing, this move requires four energy cards to use, two fire, and one each of colorless and lightning, this move then does 110 damage, however you must discard a fire energy card attached to Reshiram after using Bright Wing.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Reshiram is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, the only reason I would use this card in a deck is number one if I had a deck with several dragon type Pokemon in it and number two those dragon type Pokemon required fire energy to attack, that way I could just put Reshiram into the active Pokemon spot for a few turns, and not even attack, just use its Ability to set up the rest of the bench.  If you have plenty of energy to spare, you could put four energy cards on this card and attack with Bright Wing, but because you have to discard an energy each turn this card will really eat up energy cards.  So me personally, I would not recommend using this card in a deck, but it does have some potential and can help in a dragon type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Roaring Skies set.  I am not the biggest of fan on this card, but it does have a well above average HP, a good Ability, and a powerful move, albeit slow.  So like I said in the strategy section of this post, if you are building a dragon type deck where the cards need fire energy to attack, this card is worth a serious look, otherwise I would pass on it.

Reshiram -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Reshiram Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Reshiram from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Reshiram is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 130. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Reshiram does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Purifying Flames, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fire, and does 50 damage, plus this move removes all special conditions from Reshiram.  Reshiram's second move is called Fusion Flare, this move requires four energy cards, three colorless and one fire, and does 80 damage plus if you have a Zekrom on your bench it does 40 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Reshiram is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  Because Reshiram requires so many energy cards to attack (three at a minimum) I would recommend setting up Reshiram on your bench. Because Reshiram can become really powerful, I would suggest using this card with Zekrom so Fusion Flare can do 120 damage per turn, so more than likely you'll have to use this card in a dual type deck of fire and lightning  You'll definitely want to attach four energy cards to Reshiram so you can use this move, it is definitely worth the wait.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card set.  This card would work very nicely in a fire type deck with some lightning Pokemon in it that needs a couple more cards in it to make it to 60 cards total.  I like that this card has two moves, one of them very powerful, as well as a decent hp and an average retreat cost.  This card will actually fit well in dual type decks because most of the energy cards it requires are colorless not fire.
