Ralts -- Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Review

Ralts Burning Shadows Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the Burning Shadows set.  Ralts is a Basic, Fairy type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to Metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to Darkness type Pokemon, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  This card does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move on this card is called Draining Kiss, for one Fairy Energy card, this move does 10 damage, plus it heals 10 damage from Ralts.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kirlia, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gardevoir, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Ralts does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, if you're playing in the 2018 Standard Format, I would much rather use Ralts from the BREAKthrough set, that card has the same HP and retreat cost, but has two moves instead of one, plus, you can attack for any type of Energy, not just a Fairy type Energy.  But if you are building something like a Gardevoir GX deck, this isn't a terrible card to use to start the line, since it can attack for one Energy, plus it makes its HP a bit higher since Draining Kiss also heals damage.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Burning Shadows set.  Like I mentioned above, this card could certainly be used in a deck that includes Gardevoir GX but I prefer the Ralts from the BREAKthrough set.  This card does have the advantage of healing damage, so if you are putting this card into the Active Pokemon spot to start the game, it may last a bit longer there, giving you more time to get Kirlia or Gardevoir GX into the Active Pokemon spot.

Ralts 100/162 -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the BREAKthrough set.  This is the second of two Ralts cards I've reviewed from this set, the other Ralts card in this set is a psychic type Pokemon.  Ralts is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Mumble and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Ralts' second move is called Magical Shot and for two energy cards, one each of fairy and colorless, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kirlia, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gallade and Gardevoir, you'll more than likely want to use this card with its evolution forms, which I've reviewed the past few weeks, since there was a psychic type Ralts and Kirlia is a psychic type, Gallade is a fighting type Pokemon, and there is no Gardevoir in this set, but for now, I will be acting like this card will be used on its own.  So, by itself, this card would be a solid starter type Pokemon in a fairy type deck since it has two attacks and can attack very quickly.  So if you're looking for a solid starter type Pokemon best used at the beginning of the game, I would highly recommend using this card.  However, compared to the first Ralts card from this set, this card has its limitations, this card does require a fairy type energy to attack instead of all colorless energy cards like the first Ralts card in this set, and because Ralts can't heal damage, it is best if this card is used only in the beginning of games.  All in all, both Ralts cards from this set are pretty average and it is best to use which Ralts cards works better with your deck, if you're using a fairy type deck, use this one, otherwise use the psychic type Ralts.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set.  I really have zero complaints about this card, it has a solid HP, low retreat cost, and two average moves.  You can't ask for a much better starter type Pokemon and a great Basic Pokemon card to lead this Pokemon family in battle.

Ralts -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Ralts BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the BREAKthrough set.  This is the first of two Ralts cards I'll be reviewing from this set, the other Ralts card in this set is a fairy type Pokemon.  Ralts is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Nap, for one psychic energy card this move heals 30 damage from Ralts.  Ralts' second move is called Smack and for two colorless energy cards this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kirlia, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gallade and Gardevoir, you'll more than likely want to use this card with its evolution forms, which I'll be reviewing in the next couple of days and weeks, since there is a second Ralts card in this set which is a fairy type, Kirlia is a psychic type, Gallade is a fighting type Pokemon, and there is no Gardevoir in this set, but for now, I will be acting like this card will be used on its own.  So, by itself, this card would be a decent starter type Pokemon to use in a deck, and one that could be put into the active Pokemon spot later in the game if the defending Pokemon can't do more than 30 damage a turn.  Early on in a game, you could remove damage done to Ralts using Nap and then do 20 damage a turn with Smack, and since this move requires colorless energy cards it makes Ralts easier to use, later in games, if you're forced to put Ralts into the active Pokemon spot, you should be able to prolong its use by continually using Nap.  If you're building a psychic type deck, I would consider this card for sure.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the BREAKthrough set.  There really is no complaints from me on this card, it has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two good moves, one that heals damage and the other that inflicts an average amount of damage each turn.  So like I said above, this card isn't amazing by any means, but it is definitely worth considering when building a deck.

Ralts -- Ancient Origins Pokemon Card Review

Ralts Ancient Origins Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the Ancient Origins set.  Ralts is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability or an Ancient Trait but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Mumble, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Ralts' second move is called Magical Shot, this move requires two energy cards to use, one each of colorless and fairy, and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Kirlia, and a Stage 2 evolution in Gardevoir, which I'll be reviewing the next few days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Ralts does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, this card could definitely be used as a starter type Pokemon in a fairy type deck, it is not flashy by any means, but it should give you some time at the beginning of the game to get your benched Pokemon set up and do some damage to the defending Pokemon.  I would put at least one of these cards in a fairy type deck and try my hardest to get it into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, then depending on how fast you think you can get your benched Pokemon set up, either put one or two energy cards on Ralts.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very solid, average Basic Pokemon card from the Ancient Origins set.  There is nothing that I dislike about this card.  It has an average HP, low retreat cost, and two solid moves, you really can't go wrong with using this card as a starter type Pokemon card in a fairy type deck.

Ralts -- Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Review

Ralts Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Set.  Ralts is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Mind Bend, for two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, this move does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin, the defending Pokemon is confused.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Kirlia and a stage 2 evolution in Gardevoir, which I'll be reviewing the next few days/weeks, I would recommend using Ralts with its evolutions.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would not use this card as a starter type Pokemon in a psychic type deck or in any deck for that matter.  Because this card can only do 10 damage total it is quite restricted on what it can do, plus the move that only does 10 damage requires two energy cards which makes the move below average.  So I would not use this card in a deck on its own, if you choose to, don't use more than 1, try to use this card early in the game and use Mind Bend.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  I do like that this card has a low retreat cost, average hp, and the only move it does have not only does damage but inflicts a special condition, possibly.  But this card is below average for me because it only has one move, the move isn't slow, and it is a below average move in my opinion.

Ralts -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Ralts Plasma Storm Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Ralts from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Ralts is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Ralts does not have an Ability, and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Psy Bolt, this move requires one colorless energy card and paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Ralts is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Kirlia and a stage 2 evolution in Gallade, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I would not suggest using Ralts in a deck.  I say this  because even though Ralts does have an average hp, the only move it has cannot do any damage.  So unless you desperately need to include this card in your deck on its own, I would avoid this card at all costs.  But if for some reason you want to play this card in a deck, I would recommend getting it in the active Pokemon spot immediately and trying to paralyze the defending Pokemon every turn while setting up your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very poor basic Pokemon card.  Like I mentioned in the strategy section of this review, this card is definitely not a good card to use on its own, even though Ralts may be okay with Kirlia and Gallade, this card can not manage on its own, especially without having a move that does damage.  So if you're looking to just use Ralts in a deck, I suggest you look at another set.
