Pansear -- Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Review

Pansear Burning Shadows Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pansear from the Burning Shadows Pokemon Card Set.  Pansear is a Basic, Fire type Pokemon card with a HP of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to Water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Pansear does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move on this card is called Flare, for one Fire Energy card, this move does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pansear is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Simisear, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, because this card is so limited, in just having the one move that does 10 damage, I would not recommend using this card on its own.  If you are using Simisear in your deck, this card isn't a bad start to get to that card, since it can attack quickly and has an above average HP.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Simisear this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  Like I stated above, the main reason I'm giving this card a below average rating is because it only has one move and can only do 10 damage per turn, plus, its only move requires a Fire Energy card, instead of a Colorless.  With an above average HP, this card may last more than a turn later in games, but there is no use in using this card without Simisear.

Pansear -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Pansear BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pansear from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Pansear is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Pansear does not have an Ancient Trait or Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Fury Swipes, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 3 coins.

So, on its own, I cannot recommend using this card in a deck, I say this because with Pansear only having one move, you want to be able to do damage every single turn, and since Fury Swipes is based off of coin flips, you may end up doing zero damage every single turn.  So on its own I would not recommend using Pansear in a deck, however if you know you're going to evolve it into Simisear quite quickly, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have to use Fury Swipes one turn and then evolve it the next.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Simisear, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  The main reason for this rating is because of its one move depending on coin flips, otherwise this card has a low retreat cost, average HP, and the potential to do a fair amount of damage every turn.

Pansear -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Pansear Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pansear from the X and Y Pokemon Card Set.  Pansear is a basic, fire type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Pansear does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Live Coal, for one fire energy card, this move does 10 damage.  Pansear's second move is called Fireworks, this move requires two energy cards, and does 30 damage to the defending Pokemon, however you have to discard an energy card attached to Pansear when using this move.

So, on its own I may use this card in a deck if I need one more Pokemon card to make 60, otherwise I would not use this card without Simisear.  I say this because, even though Live Coal is a pretty decent move, you'll never really want to use Fireworks because not only will it eat up the energy cards in your deck, 30 damage isn't that much damage to do for constantly giving up an energy card.  So if you were to use this card in a deck, definitely don't use more than one, and when in the active Pokemon spot, use Live Coal most turns, unless you plan on retreating Pansear after attacking one turn, then use Fireworks.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a slightly below average basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  This card does have an average hp, low retreat cost, and two moves, but the reason I'm giving this card a below average rating is because the card is quite limited, and I really don't like the Fireworks move that this card has, if the card just had one move that did 10 damage I may consider giving this card a better rating.
