Pancham -- Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Review

Pancham Guardians Rising Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the Guardians Rising Pokemon Card Set.  Pancham is a Basic, Fighting type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to Psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Pancham does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  This card's only move is called Karate Chop, for two Fighting Energy cards this move does 60 damage minus 10 damage for each damage counter on Pancham.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pancham is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Pangoro, which I'll be reviewing in a couple of weeks, since it is a Darkness type Pokemon, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, if you can get this card into the Active Pokemon spot to start the game, this card has potential to do major damage, and potentially get a Prize card for you.  Later in games, when Pokemon can do more damage when attacking, this card is pretty worthless since it won't be able to do much damage with Karate Chop.  So, the only way I would recommend using this card is at the very beginning of the game, otherwise I would pass on using this card in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Pangoro, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Guardians Rising set.  Although this card can do up to 60 damage per turn for only two Energy cards, it is limited in that it only has one move, and its only move requires two Energy cards to attack instead of one.  So again, this card can be used in a Fighting type deck, but there certainly are better cards out there to use.

Pancham -- BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Review

Pancham BREAKpoint Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the BREAKpoint Pokemon Card Set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Pancham does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Light Punch and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Pancham's second move is called Confront and for two colorless energy cards, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pancham is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Pangoro, which I'll be reviewing in a couple of days since it is a darkness type Pokemon, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own, this card is a very good starter type Pokemon for any type deck out there, since it has two moves, both doing damage, and both very quick to use, and since both moves require colorless type energy, it can work in any deck.  So I would definitely consider using this Pancham card when building a deck, just to get another Basic Pokemon in your deck and to be able to start attacking very quickly.  The only thing you'll want to be aware of with this Pancham card is that its retreat cost is higher than its attack cost for its first move.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Pangoro, this is an average Basic Pokemon card, with the only downfall being a higher retreat cost than normal.  But, if you're building a deck, I would strongly consider using this card in it, you can't go wrong by using this card.

Pancham -- BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Review

Pancham BREAKthrough Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the BREAKthrough Pokemon Card Set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost. Pancham does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  This move is called Pompous Punch, for two energy cards, one each of fighting and colorless, this move does 10 damage plus it allows you to discard a random card from your opponent's hand.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pancham is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Pangoro, which isn't in this set, but is in BREAKpoint, you'll more than likely want to use the full evolution when using this line, but since there isn't a Pangoro card in this set, I'll just act like I plan on using Pancham on its own.  So, on its own, I cannot recommend using Pancham in a deck.  Not only is it slow to attack, when you do get two energy cards on Pancham and can attack, the move it has in under-powered, plus if you are forced to put this card into the active Pokemon spot in the case it is the only Basic Pokemon card you have in play, you have to put two energy cards on it to retreat it.  So unless you're using this card with a Pangoro card, I would stay away from this card at all costs.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Pangoro, this is a very poor Basic Pokemon card.  This card does have an average HP, but everything else on this card is below average, including its high retreat cost, and its slow, under-powered move.  So if you're building a fighting type deck, there are much better Basic Pokemon cards out there to use.

Pancham #60/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pancham Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of two consecutive reviews I'll be doing on Pancham from this set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 70.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Pancham does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move it has is called Comet Punch, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 10 damage times the number of heads you get when you flip 4 coins.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Pancham is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Pangoro, which I'll be reviewing in a couple of weeks since it is a darkness type Pokemon, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution, however I have reviewed the other Pancham card from this set and will be comparing the two later in this post.  So, on its own if you would like to use Pancham in a deck, this would be the Pancham to use.  This card still isn't that great since its only move is based off of coin flips, but you could easily use this card as a starter type Pokemon in your deck, get it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, wait a turn until you have two energy cards on it and then use Comet Punch every turn.  This card is good in that it requires colorless energy cards only allowing you to place it in any type deck.  Like I said, if you plan to use Pancham on its own without Pangoro, this is the card to use because it has a higher HP and can do more damage for less energy than yesterday's card, however since neither card is that great, you could easily use yesterday's Pancham and use its first move to immediately evolve it into Pangoro.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  This card does have a high HP and is able to fit into any type deck, but because its move is coin flip based, it may end up doing zero damage every single turn, thus making me give this card a lower rating.  So unless you really want to use Pancham in your deck, I would avoid both of these cards in the Furious Fists set.

Pancham #59/111 -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Pancham Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Pancham from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Pancham cards I'll be reviewing from this set.  Pancham is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Pancham does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Bad Influence Evolution and for one colorless energy card it says that if you have any darkness Pokemon on your bench you can search your deck for Pangoro and put it on Pancham.  Pancham's second move is called Confront, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one fighting, and does 30 damage.

However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, and haven't reviewed the second Pancham card from this set yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution and not knowing anything about the other Pancham card.  So, on its own I would avoid this card at all costs, since its first move, Bad Influence Evolution, needs to have Pangoro in your deck and its second move, Confront does underwhelming damage for the amount of energy cards required to attack.  Ideally you could use this card with Pangoro and use Bad Influence Evolution immediately when it is in the active Pokemon spot, but if you don't have Pangoro in your deck you can't do this, so I wouldn't waste my time putting three energy cards on this card just to do 30 damage, you can definitely find better cards out there to use in your deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is a miserable Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set that should absolutely not be used if you aren't planning on using Pangoro with it.  This card does have an average HP and low retreat cost, but both moves it has are horrid which makes this card unplayable on its own in my opinion.
