Natu 28/108 -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Natu from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  This is the second of the two Natu cards that I've reviewed from this set.  Natu is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 40.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Natu card does have an Ancient Trait called Plus that says if your opponent's Pokemon is knocked out by damage from Natu, you get to take one additional prize card.  Besides the Ancient Trait, Natu just has one move called Psywave, this move requires two energy cards to use, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 10 damage times the number of energy cards attached to your opponent's Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Natu is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Xatu, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution but I will be comparing both Natu cards in this post.  So taking a look at this specific Natu card, even though I really like its Ancient Trait, I would stay away from this card at all costs.  Not only does this card have an extremely low HP, the one move it does have is slow to use and may end up doing no damage at all during a turn, or if you're facing a Pokemon that has a ton of energy cards on it, you'll more than likely be able to do 30 or 40 damage but get knocked out right away.  So unless you just feel like giving a Prize card to your opponent, do not use this Natu card in a deck.  Comparing the two Natu cards from this set, neither are very good, if you want to use one of these two Natu cards to play with Xatu, use yesterday's card as it can attack quicker and has a higher HP.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Xatu, this is a well below average Basic Pokemon card from the Roaring Skies set.  Outside of the Ancient Trait, there isn't one thing that I like about this card, it has a low HP, and pretty poor move, so considering this is on a Basic Pokemon card and there is another Natu in this set, it is a pretty easy decision not to use this card in a deck.

Natu 27/108 -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Natu from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first of two Natu cards I'll be reviewing from this set.  Natu is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. This Natu card does not have an Ancient Trait or an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Peck, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Natu is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Xatu, which I'll be reviewing in two days, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet and I haven't even reviewed the second Natu card from this set yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution and I do not know which Natu card is better.  So, on its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck. My main reason for saying this is because Natu is just too limited in what it can do, since it only has one move and the one move it does have can only do 10 damage total, plus add in the fact it has a below average HP and there are several reasons why you shouldn't use this card in a deck.  If you plan on using Xatu or just really want to use this card in your deck, only use one, and get it into the active Pokemon spot as soon as possible so that you can attack quickly and won't get knocked out in one turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Xatu, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card.  Like I stated in the strategy section of this post, this card is too limited in what it can do, can't do much damage, and has too low of an HP for me to recommend using.  Overall, it could be worse, that is why I am giving it a 2 out of 5 rating instead of a 1, hopefully tomorrow's Natu card is better.

Natu -- Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Natu from the Legendary Treasures Pokemon Card Set.  Natu is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Natu does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Peck, for two energy cards, one each of colorless and psychic, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Natu is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Xatu, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I would not recommend using this card in a deck.  Even though Peck is a good move, it does require two energy cards to use, and since Natu has below average hp with 50, I wouldn't risk putting this card into the active Pokemon spot two turns before being able to attack, especially if it isn't to start the game.  Of course, if you choose to use Natu in a deck, I wouldn't recommend using more than 1, and your only option with this card is to use Peck every turn when it is in the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card from the Legendary Treasures Pokemon card set.  I would not recommend using this card in a deck because it has a below average hp and it is slow on the attack, and quite limited with only one move.
