Loudred -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Loudred Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Loudred from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card set.  Loudred is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an HP of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Loudred does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Smash Kick and for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Loudred's second move is called Stomp and for three colorless energy cards, this move does 40 damage plus if you get a heads 40 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Loudred is a Stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Whismur into play (I reviewed Whismur from this set yesterday) and then evolve Whismur into Loudred.  Loudred does have a Stage 2 evolution in Exploud, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Loudred is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read my review of Whismur, you'll know that I thought it was a slightly below average Basic Pokemon card overall.  It had a solid HP and two moves, but really could only do 10 damage a turn, which made it pretty limited, plus add in a higher retreat cost and it was a card that I wouldn't be using in a deck.  So knowing this about Whismur and looking at this Loudred card, I can't recommend using the first two Pokemon in this line.  Like Whismur, Loudred has a solid HP and two moves, but both moves that this card has are very weak, and Smash Kick is similar to what you'd find on a Basic Pokemon.  So unless you're just in love with this line of Pokemon, don't use this line in your deck.  Of course if you do use Loudred in your deck, your best chance when attacking would be to attach a Trick Coin trainer to this card and test your luck when using Stomp hoping to do 80 damage a turn.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Fates Collide set.  Like I said in the strategy section of this post, this card has some positives about it, like a solid HP and two moves, but neither move that this card has is that great, making this card below average overall, same goes for Whismur from this set and together they would get a 2 out of 5 rating.

Loudred -- Phantom Forces Pokemon Card Review

Loudred Phantom Forces Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Loudred from the Phantom Forces Pokemon Card set.  Loudred is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Loudred does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Pound, for two colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage.  Loudred's second move is called Energy Press, this move requires three colorless energy cards to use and does 30 damage plus 30 more damage for each energy card attached to the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Loudred is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Whismur into play (I reviewed Whismur from this set yesterday) and then evolve Whismur into Loudred.  Loudred does have a stage 2 evolution in Exploud that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Loudred is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review of Whismur, you'll know that I thought that card was very poor, mainly due to the fact it didn't have an attack that did any damage, the only move it did have confused both Whismur and the defending Pokemon.  So knowing this about Whismur and looking at this Loudred card, I would definitely consider using this card in a deck because of Energy Press, but because Whismur is so bad, I would have no problem setting up this line on the bench, thus having the need to only use a 1-1 line of Whismur and Loudred in any type deck.  The reason I would recommend setting Loudred up on the bench would be for one to get three energy cards on it, and for two, letting your opponent get their Pokemon set up, so if they have a really powerful Pokemon in play, let's say a Pokemon that uses four energy cards to attack, as long as it can't do more than 80 damage in one turn, I would move Loudred into the active Pokemon spot and use Energy Press, being able to do 150 damage a turn and more than likely knocking out most Stage 2 Pokemon in one turn.  The only time I would use Pound is if I didn't have enough energy cards to use Energy Press.  So not only can Energy Press do major damage, but it could also prevent your opponent from putting too many energy cards on their Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Phantom Forces set.  I am basing this solely on its Energy Press move as this move can do major damage for not that many energy cards.  Other than that move, this card is pretty average, with its HP, retreat cost, and other move.  So together with Whismur, which only received a 1 rating from me, I am giving these two Pokemon combined a 3 rating, as long as you don't have to use Whismur, this line in fine to use in a deck.

Loudred -- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Loudred Plasma Storm Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Loudred from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set.  Loudred is a stage 1, colorless type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Loudred does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move this card has is called Supersonic, for one colorless energy card it confuses the defending Pokemon.  Loudred's second move is called Hyper Voice, this move requires three colorless energy cards and does 50 damage.

So if you read yesterday's review, you'll know that I thought Whismur was a miserable basic Pokemon card from this deck and a card that should not be used on its own.  With that being said, this Loudred card really has to be good in order for me to want to use it with the Whismur card from yesterday, and this card is a bit better than yesterday's Whismur card but not much better, so I would not use this two Pokemon in a deck.  If you choose to use this line in a deck, you can fit Whismur and Loudred into any deck, but since neither card is very good I wouldn't use more than 1 of each, maybe 2 Whismur.  I would set up Whismur on the bench, since it is terrible, evolve it into Loudred and then put three energy cards on it so you can use Hyper Voice every turn when it is in the active Pokemon spot.  If you are facing a very powerful Pokemon that has a move that does 60+ damage, you may want to use Supersonic instead.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average stage 1 Pokemon card. This card is below average in my opinion because the main move on this card, Hyper Voice, does below average damage, and the retreat cost of this card is pretty high.  Other than that, this card is decent, it does have two moves, is a colorless type Pokemon card, and has an average hp.  So far, the line of Whismur and Loudred from this set gets a 1 out of 5 rating, I definitely wouldn't use these two cards in a deck.
