Lillipup -- Sun and Moon Pokemon Card Review

Lillipup Sun and Moon Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lillipup from the Sun and Moon set.  Lillipup is a Basic, Colorless type Pokemon card with a HP of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to Fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one Colorless Energy card retreat cost.  Lillipup does not have an Ability but the card does have two moves.  The first move on this card is called Work Up, for one Colorless Energy card this move increases Lillipup's attacks by 20 during your next turn.  Lillipup's second move is called Bite, for two Colorless Energy cards, this move does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Lillipup is a Basic Pokemon card with a Stage 1 evolution in Herdier, and a Stage 2 evolution in Stoutland, which I'll be reviewing the next couple of days, you'll more than likely want to use some of those Pokemon with this card, however, since I have not reviewed any of those cards yet, I will just act like Lillipup does not have any evolution forms and that it will be used on its own.  On its own, I would not recommend using this card in a deck, mainly because it is slow on the attack, requiring two Energy cards to attack.  Although you could use a Double Colorless Energy card to attack with this card, since Lillipup just has the one move that can do damage when attacking, it is best served on the Bench waiting for it to evolve into Herdier.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Sun and Moon set.  Like I stated above, since this card requires two Energy cards to attack, it isn't a good starter type Pokemon, with only 60 HP, making it useless later in games.  So my advice on this card would be to avoid it altogether unless you plan on using Herdier and Stoutland in your deck.

Lillipup -- Pokemon X and Y Card Review

Lillipup Pokemon X and Y Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lillipup from the X and Y Pokemon card set.  Lillipup is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Lillipup does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  Lillipup's first move is called Tackle and this move does 10 damage for one colorless energy card.  Lillipup's second move is called Bite and for two colorless energy cards does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Lillipup is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Herdier and a stage 2 evolution in Stoutland, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, this card would be a solid basic Pokemon card to put into your deck to use as a starter type Pokemon, I would consider using up to 2 of these Lillipup cards in a deck on their own.  The only thing below average on this card is its hp, otherwise, this card can attack very quickly and do a decent amount of damage.  So if you include this card in your deck, you'll want to try and start the game with Lillipup in the active Pokemon spot and then use Tackle first and Bite after that.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the X and Y set.  Besides having a below average hp, this card is quite good and could easily be used as a starter type Pokemon in any type deck.  Hopefully this card is a good start to this entire Pokemon family from this set.

Lillipup -- Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Review

Lillipup Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Lillipup from the Boundaries Crossed Pokemon Card Set.  Lillipup is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Lillipup does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move it has is called Roar, this move requires one colorless energy card and this move makes the defending Pokemon switch out their active Pokemon and put one of their benched Pokemon in the active spot.  Lillipup's second move is called Bite, this move requires two colorless energy cards and does 20 damage.

So on its own, Lillipup isn't a terrible card to have in a deck on its own.  Because it does have two moves, there might be some benefit to using this card on its own.  If I were to use this card in a deck on its own, I would definitely not use more than 1 of them.  Strategy wise, I would use Bite most times when Lillipup is in the active Pokemon spot, the only time I would consider using Roar would be if my active Pokemon is knocked out, I would then move Lillipup into the active Pokemon spot and use Roar to move that powerful active Pokemon out of the active spot and hope that my opponent has to put a weaker one in or one that has a high retreat cost.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average basic Pokemon card.  This card is just a bit below average in my opinion, I do like that this card has an average hp, low retreat cost and two moves, however Roar doesn't do much for me especially since your opponent gets to dictate what Pokemon they put in their active Pokemon spot, other than Roar this card is average, but Roar brings this card down from a 3 to a 2.
