Hitmonlee -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Hitmonlee Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hitmonlee from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Hitmonlee is a basic, fighting type Pokemon card with an hp of 90, it has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Hitmonlee does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Stretch Kick, for one fighting energy card this move does 30 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  Hitmonlee's second move is called Spiral Kick, this move does 30 damage for two fighting type energy cards.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hitmonlee is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, this card would work perfectly as a starter type Pokemon or in a spread damage type deck.  If I were building a fighting type deck, I would definitely include at least 2 of these Hitmonlee cards in my deck.  Not only is Hitmonlee extremely fast, but it can do 30 damage for only one energy card, and 30 damage to any of your opponent's Pokemon for only 2 energy cards total.  I would try and get this card into the active Pokemon spot early, use Stretch Kick as many times as you can, all while setting up a more powerful Pokemon on the bench, then retreat Hitmonlee and move that more powerful Pokemon into the active Pokemon spot and hopefully be able to one hit knock out your opponent's Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is one of the best starter type, Basic Pokemon cards from the Furious Fists set.  There isn't anything that I dislike about this card.  It has a high HP, low retreat cost, and two great moves.  I like that Hitmonlee can attack any of your opponent's Pokemon, regardless of where they are at in play.  And being able to do 30 damage for one energy card is a fantastic ability and one that should be utilized by including Hitmonlee in plenty of your fighting type decks.
