Glaceon -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Glaceon Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Glaceon from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Glaceon is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Glaceon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that it has is called Blizzard, for one water energy card this move does 30 damage plus 10 damage to each of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  Glaceon's second move is called Ice Edge, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one water, and does 60 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin the move does 30 more damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Glaceon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play and then evolve Eevee into Glaceon.  I actually have not reviewed Eevee from this set yet because it is a colorless type card, so in this section I will just assume Eevee is an average card and that you are basically going to have to use that card in order to use Glaceon.  So looking at this Glaceon card, I would highly recommend using it, especially in a spread damage type deck, and especially with the last Pokemon line I just reviewed, Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, and Politoed.  If you use this card with that family, you can utilize Politoed's Ability and only have to use one energy card on Glaceon to do any of its attacks.  I would try and get this Glaceon card into the active Pokemon spot as early in the game as possible and use Blizzard at least one turn, just making sure all of your opponent's benched Pokemon have damage on them.  After they all have at least 10 damage on them, I would then use Ice Edge every turn.  I would again, highly recommend using this card in a deck, and I would use a 2-2 line of Eevee and Glaceon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an excellent Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  There isn't anything that I don't like about this card, and this card really should get an even better rating than 5 if you use it in a spread damage type deck, especially with the Politoed and Poliwrath line.  This card has a low retreat cost, average HP, and two very good moves.  So you should definitely take a look at this card when building a water type deck or a spread damage type deck.

Glaceon -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Glaceon Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Glaceon from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Glaceon is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Glaceon's Ability is called Freeze Zone and says that each of your Team Plasma Pokemon in play have two colorless energy cards less in their retreat cost.  Besides the Ability, Glaceon has one move called Icy Wind, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one water, and does 60 damage plus it puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Glaceon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play, like I mentioned in earlier Eevee-evolution reviews from this set, there are actually two Eevee cards in this set but I have not reviewed either of them yet, you may also want to consider using one of the two Eevee cards from the Dark Explorers set, and then evolve Eevee into Glaceon.  Because I haven't reviewed either Eevee cards from this set yet I won't talk now about which one of those cards are best to use, but regardless of which one you use, if you want to use Glaceon in a deck, it would be best to set up Glaceon on the bench, that way you can utilize Glaceon's Ability to help all of your other Team Plasma Pokemon in play.  So based just on Glaceon's Ability, I would make sure to include many Team Plasma Pokemon in your deck, in preferably a water based deck, but because Icy Wind requires only one water energy card this card may work well in most type decks.  So I would recommend trying to keep Glaceon in play at all times to utilize its Ability, but if you get this card into the active Pokemon spot quite quickly, this card can put the defending Pokemon to sleep thus allowing you to set up your benched Pokemon.  I would use this card in a deck, and use a 2-2 line of Eevee and Glaceon.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 5 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card and definitely one of the better cards I've reviewed so far from this set.  I like that this card not only has a great Ability that will help your whole team out (if you use many Team Plasma Pokemon) but its only move Icy Wind is a very good move that not only does a fair amount of damage but puts the defending Pokemon to sleep.  So if you're building a Team Plasma deck or water type deck, this card should definitely be in it.

Glaceon -- Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Review

Glaceon Dark Explorers Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Glaceon from the Dark Explorers Pokemon Card Set.  This is a stage 1, water type Pokemon card with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Glaceon doesn't have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move is called Quick Attack and for one colorless energy card it does 10 damage plus 30 more damage if you get a heads when you flip a coin.  Glaceon's second move is called Reflect Energy and for two energy cards, one each of water and colorless, it does 40 damage and you have to move an energy card attached to Glaceon to one of your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, if you can get Glaceon into play extremely quickly in the beginning of the game I would suggest using Quick Attack right away and hoping to get a heads so you can do 30 damage, every other turn unless the Pokemon will for sure be knocked out with 10 damage, I would use Reflect Energy, when using Glaceon in the active Pokemon spot either have a way to quickly move energy cards from one Pokemon to another so you can replenish Glaceon with energy cards every turn or just make sure you have a lot of energy cards in your hand so you can attach energy cards to Glaceon every turn it uses Reflect Energy.  I would consider using this card in an Eevee deck, that way you can have 4 Eevee cards in the deck and let's say 2 each of an Eevee evolution like Glaceon and Jolteon in a water and electric type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  This card is a below average card and for being a rare card it isn't great at all, I will start with the positives about this card which are its hp and retreat cost, also metal Pokemon aren't that popular so you shouldn't have to worry about a weakness much.  I do like the fact that Glaceon has two moves, but Quick Attack isn't exactly quick if you have to evolve Eevee first to use it, and Reflect Energy does a decent amount of damage but you'll have to keep attaching energy cards to Glaceon every turn to continue using Reflect Energy, at least you don't have to discard energy cards you can move them to another Pokemon on your bench.  If I were to use Glaceon in a deck it definitely would not be what I built my deck around.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
So thanks for reading today's Pokemon card review of Glaceon from the Dark Explorers set, stay tuned for tomorrow's card review of Galvantula from the same set.
