Hydreigon BREAK -- Steam Siege Pokemon Card Review

Hydreigon BREAK Steam Siege Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Hydreigon BREAK from the Steam Siege Pokemon Card Set.  The way a BREAK card works is that you place it on top of the Pokemon with the exact name, so this card would be placed on top of Hydreigon, so basically this card is a Stage 3 card.  It is placed horizontally on the card it evolves from and can use that Pokemon's Abilities and Attacks as well as what is on the BREAK card.  Hydreigion BREAK is a BREAK, dragon type Pokemon card, with a HP of 190.  It has the same weakness, resistance and retreat cost as the Hydreigon you're evolving it from.  Hydreigon BREAK does not have an Ability and it only has one moved called Calamity Blast and for four energy cards, one psychic and colorless and two darkness, this move does 150 damage, however when using this move you must discard three energy cards attached to Hydreigon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Hydreigon BREAK is a stage 3 Pokemon card you'll have to get Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon into play before being able to use this card.  If you look specifically at the Pokemon in this set, I was disappointed with all three cards, giving those three cards together a 1 out of 5 rating, none of the cards had that great of moves and most were slow on the attack.  So knowing this about the Hydreigon line from this set and looking at this Hydreigon card, the first thing I would recommend is using a different set's versions of this line to improve them, however, this card requires psychic and darkness type energy, the same as the ones from Steam Siege.  So the strategy for this card is similar to that of Hydreigon, use a 1-1-1-1 line of this Pokemon family and attach energy to this card on the bench, then when you need a Pokemon knocked out in one turn, move this card to the active Pokemon spot, use Calamity Blast once, and then retreat Hydreigon the next turn.  The advantage this card has over Hydreigon is the fact it can also spread damage around.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average BREAK Pokemon card from the Steam Siege set.  Even though this card can do a good amount of damage every turn, not only to the defending Pokemon, but two benched Pokemon, this card is extremely slow to set up and needs a ton of energy re-attached to it to continue to attack.  So overall, I cannot recommend using this Pokemon family from Steam Siege in a deck, still giving this entire line a 1 out of 5 rating.
