Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Cottonee from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set. Cottonee is a basic, fairy type Pokemon card with an hp of 50. It has a x2 weakness to metal type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to darkness type Pokemon, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost. Cottonee does not have Ability and it only has one move called Fairy Wind that does 10 damage for one colorless energy card.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Cottonee is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Whimsicott, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon. However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution. So, on its own, I cannot recommend using this card in a deck, mainly because of its below average HP and the fact that it only has one move, making the card very limited overall. So unless you are using this card to get to Whimsicott, do not use this card in a deck. If using with Whimsicott, this card could be put in the active Pokemon spot for one turn, since it can attack with one energy card and do 10 damage.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating. So in my opinion, on its own, without considering Whimsicott, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card. There really isn't anything terrible about this card, it is just limited in what it can do and has a low HP. So if you're looking for a Basic Pokemon card to use in a fairy type deck, definitely look elsewhere.
