Shuckle -- Fates Collide Pokemon Card Review

Shuckle Fates Collide Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Shuckle from the Fates Collide Pokemon Card Set.  This is the first card in the Fates Collide set.  Shuckle is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 80, it has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Shuckle does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Hide a Berry, for one colorless energy card this move allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck then put 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the deck.  Shuckle's second move is called Wrap and for two colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage, plus it paralyzes the defending Pokemon if you get a heads when flipping a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Shuckle is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, since this card only requires colorless type energy cards, you can use it in any type deck, and use Double Colorless energy cards with it as well.  This card would be okay as a starter type Pokemon and is very similar to the Furfrou card I reviewed yesterday.  You could use it in the active Pokemon spot right away to recycle cards from your hand and your deck to help you get your bench set up quicker, or you could attach a Trick Coin trainer card to this card and use Wrap hoping to get a heads every turn when flipping a coin and paralyzing the defending Pokemon, thus giving you more time to set up your benched Pokemon.  Because this card can only do a maximum of 30 damage per turn, it would be better to use this card earlier in the game, but it can definitely be used in a deck, although I wouldn't recommend more than 1 or 2.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Fates Collide set.  The only downfall to this card is that it requires two energy cards to do damage to the defending Pokemon instead of just one.  But, you can still use this card as a starter type Pokemon since it has two moves, and can attack the first turn if you get one energy card on it, so if you're looking for a solid Basic Pokemon card to use in your deck, give this Shuckle card a look.
