Gliscor -- Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gliscor from the Roaring Skies Pokemon Card Set.  Gliscor is a stage 1, fighting type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gliscor does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Rock Slide, this move requires one colorless energy card to use and does 20 damage, plus it does 20 damage to two of your opponent's benched Pokemon.  Gliscor's second move is called Slash, this move requires two energy cards to use, one each of fighting and colorless, and does 40 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gliscor is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Gligar into play (I reviewed Gligar from this set yesterday) and then evolve Gligar into Gliscor.  If you read yesterday's review of Gligar, you'll know that I thought the card was slightly below average, it did have an above average HP and a low retreat cost, but the only move it did have required a coin flip and couldn't do any damage, only inflict special conditions.  So knowing this about Gligar and looking at this Gliscor card, this card is a great card to use in a spread damage type deck.  I would highly recommend using at least a 1-1 line of this Pokemon family in either a fighting or spread damage type deck.  Ideally, you would want to get Gligar evolved in to Gliscor right away and then use Rock Slide every time, unless you can knock out the defending Pokemon with 40 damage then I would use Slash.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Roaring Skies set.  There isn't one thing that I dislike about this card.  It has an average HP and low retreat cost, and two very good moves, both doing above average damage in my opinion.  So if you want to power up your fighting type deck or boost your spread damage type deck, this Pokemon family of Gligar and Gliscor is a great one to use, even though I only gave Gligar a 2 out of 5 rating, I would highly recommend this entire line and give it a 4 out of 5 rating.
