Illumise -- Primal Clash Pokemon Card Review

Illumise Primal Clash Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Illumise from the Primal Clash Pokemon Card Set.  Illumise is a basic, grass type Pokemon card with an hp of 70, it has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Illumise does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Helping Hand, this move requires one grass energy card to use and it allows you to search your deck for an energy card and attach it to one of your benched Pokemon.  Illumise's second move is called Twirling Sign, this move requires one colorless type energy card and does 10 damage, plus it confuses the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Illumise is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  With that being said, I could definitely see myself using this card as a starter type card in my deck.  I would include 1 or 2 of these in that deck and try to use Illumise in the active Pokemon spot to start the game.  You could either confuse the defending Pokemon right away with Twirling Sign and hope the defending Pokemon does damage to itself after that, or you could use this card right away to set up your benched Pokemon, essentially being able to attach two energy cards a turn if you use Helping Hand over Twirling Sign.  This card definitely won't know the socks off your opponent, but it is a very solid card that will definitely help you early on in games.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average Basic Pokemon card from the Primal Clash set.  Like I said in the strategy section, this Pokemon really isn't that powerful, but both moves it has are very quick, and they complement each other very nicely, plus add in an above average HP and low retreat cost, and this card is definitely a card that should be considered for grass type decks.
