Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Snorlax from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Set. Snorlax is a basic, colorless type Pokemon card with an hp of 130. It has a x2 weakness to fighting type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a four colorless energy card retreat cost. Snorlax's Ability is entitled Block and says that as long as Snorlax is your active Pokemon, your opponent's active Pokemon cannot retreat. Besides the Ability, Snorlax only has one move, this move is called Teampact and for five colorless energy cards this move does 30 damage times the number Team Plasma Pokemon you have in play.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Snorlax is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card. Because Snorlax requires so many energy cards to attack, I would only recommend using one of these in a deck, it doesn't matter what the type of that deck is since Snorlax can use all energy types. Just make sure that you have plenty of Team Plasma Pokemon in your deck so that Teampact can actually do a good amount of damage, since you have to put 5 energy cards on Snorlax to use the move. So of course you're going to want to set this card up on your bench so that it doesn't take forever for you to actually use Teampact if Snorlax is put in the active Pokemon spot too early. And because Snorlax only has one move you'll have to use Teampact every turn. So after looking at this card I would not recommend using this card in a deck at all.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating. In my opinion, this is an extremely below average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set. This is probably one of the worst cards I've reviewed so far from the Plasma Storm set and a card I would stay away from at all costs. Snorlax does have a good hp but that is about it for this card. Snorlax's Ability can only be used if it is in the active Pokemon spot, Teampact takes forever to use, and if you don't have any other Team Plasma Pokemon in play the move does hardly any damage, plus if you want to retreat Snorlax you have to discard a ton of energy cards. So again, stay away from this card.

Snorlax may not fit in the average deck, but there's a fantastic gimmick-deck featuring ONLY 4 snorlax, no energy, virbank gym, hypnotoxic laser, and plenty of potions + revives. It's a stall-ish deck, but you stall out their HP rather than their deck!

I just want to show you that snorlax is not a bad card.
My youtube username is sweng1221.
Snorlax is a great card for stalling and Lasering! Its used in gimmick decks with no energy and only 4 snorlax, or you can use it in a plasma basics deck to, well, basically do the same thing! 5/5 stars is much more like it!
ReplyDeleteBro snorlax is very good with laser and virbank .
