Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Skiploom from the Dragons Exalted Pokemon Card Set. Skiploom is a stage 1, grass type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60. Skiploom evolves from Hoppip which I reviewed yesterday and evolves into Jumpluff which I'll be reviewing tomorrow. Skiploom has a x2 weakness to fire type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to water type Pokemon, and a free retreat cost. Skiploom doesn't have an Ability and it only has one move called Bullet Seed which takes one grass type energy card and does 10 damage times the number of heads when you flip 4 coins.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Skiploom is a a stage 1 Pokemon card that has a stage 2 evolution in this set I would recommend keeping Skiploom on the bench until you can evolve it into Jumpluff and then attack with Jumpluff, in the meantime make sure to add energy cards to Skiploom on the bench so if you need to put it into play you can attack right away. One thing that is very good about Skiploom is that it is really quick and has a free retreat cost, so if one of your Pokemon is knocked out, you can move Skiploom into the active Pokemon spot, hope to do 40 damage with Bullet Seed and then move Skiploom back to the bench. If you are looking to make a very quick deck I would highly suggest using this card in the deck and I would use 2 each of Hoppip and Skiploom. Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating. Even though this card has an extremely low hp, I am still giving this card an average rating, I am giving this card an average rating because of its low energy cost to attack and its free retreat cost. But once again, unless you're specifically using a speed type deck, I would recommend coupling this card with Jumpluff which I'll be reviewing tomorrow.
