Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Moltres from the Next Destinies set. This is a basic, fire type Pokemon card, with an hp of 120. It has a x2 weakness to water type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a 2 colorless energy card retreat cost. Moltres doesn't have an Ability, but it does have two moves, the first move is called Searing Flame, which does 50 damage and burns the defending Pokemon for 3 energy cards, two colorless and one fire. Moltres's second move is called Fire Blast and does 90 damage for 4 energy cards, three colorless, and one fire. However after using this move, you must discard a fire energy card from Moltres.
Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, one thing you'll have to notice about this card is that it requires mainly colorless energy cards so this card is very versatile and can fit in many different decks. The second thing that this card has is two powerful moves, I would just make sure you have plenty of energy cards in your deck, and ways to get those energy cards quickly so you can use Fire Blast every turn when Moltres is your active Pokemon.
Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating. I like pretty much everything about this card, I like how it has a high hp for a basic Pokemon, and both of its moves can do a fair amount of damage, the one doing less damage also inflicts a special condition. The one thing I would be weary of is putting this card into the active Pokemon spot too quickly, this card is slow, and needs to be set up on your bench before put into the active Pokemon spot.
