Golett -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golett from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Golett is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost.  Golett does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Beat, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Golett's second move is called Mega Punch, this move requires three energy cards, two psychic and one colorless, and does 50 damage per turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golett is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Golurk, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So on its own, this card could be used as a starter type Pokemon in your deck because it has a high hp and can attack quickly, however if I decided to use this card in a deck, I would only use 2 of them unless I'm using it with Golurk.  I say this because the retreat cost on Golett is too high in my opinion and if you spend the time to get three energy cards on it, the move does below average damage.  So strategy wise, I would try to get this card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game, use Beat a couple of times and then use a trainer card that will allow you to switch out Golett for free.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  I like that this card has a high hp and two moves however I don't like the fact that this card's retreat cost is way too high and the move that requires the most energy cards does below average damage.  If the retreat cost was lower on this card I would definitely use this card in a deck.

Reuniclus -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Reuniclus from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Reuniclus is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 100.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Reuniclus does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Barrier Attack, for one psychic energy card this move d oes 30 damage plus any attacks from your opponent during their next turn is reduced by 30.  Reuniclus's second move is called Telekinesis of Nobility, and for three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, this move does 70 damage and allows you to switch Reuniclus with one of your benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Reuniclus is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Solosis into play and then evolve it into Duosion before you can evolve Duosion into Reuniclus, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  The previous two Pokemon in this family are quite horrible from this set so unless this card is extremely good I can already recommend not using this card in a deck.  So after summarizing this card in the overview section, I can absolutely recommend not using this card or any parts of this Pokemon family from the Plasma Blast set in your deck.  I say this because Reuniclus has a terribly low hp and neither of its moves make up for this fact.  If you do choose to use this line in your deck, I would not use more than a 1-1-1 line of Solosis, Duosion, and Reuniclus and would definitely make sure not to put Solosis into the active Pokemon spot but set it up on the bench.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average stage 2 Pokemon card from the Plasma Blast Pokemon card set.  Like I mentioned earlier in this post, Reuniclus has an extremely low hp, so that is the main reason I'm giving this card a below average rating.  Other than the low hp, both of Reuniclus's moves are average and would be worth using if this card was a stage 1 card instead of stage 2.  Overall, the line of Solosis, Duosion, and Reuniclus from the Plasma Blast set get a 1 out of 5 rating from me, as a whole they are just miserable and should not be used in any deck ever.  Individually the cards received 1, 2, and 2 ratings respectively.  As you evolved from Solosis the cards got better.

Duosion -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Duosion from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Duosion is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Duosion does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Focused Wish, this move requires two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin, the move does 40 damage instead of 20.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Duosion is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Solosis into play (I reviewed Solosis from this set yesterday) and then evolve Solosis into Duosion.  Duosion does have a stage 2 evolution in Reuniclus that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Duosion is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review of Solosis, you'll know that I thought that card was absolutely worthless and one of the worst cards not only in this set but of all time.  With that being said, if you plan to use this Duosion card in a deck, you'll definitely want to set this card up on the bench instead of evolving an active Solosis.  So knowing how bad Solosis is from this set, I would not recommend using Duosion with that card in a deck.  Duosion is definitely better than Solosis, but it still has an extremely low hp, and only one move.  If for some reason you want to use this card in a deck, use a 1-1 line of Solosis and Duosion, and make sure to get two energy cards on Duosion before you move it into the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average stage 1 Pokemon card.  Even though this card has basically a basic Pokemon's hp, I am giving this card a 2 rating instead of a 1 because the only move that Duosion does have is an average to above average move, but overall I would not use this card in a deck because this card doesn't have a high hp and either does Solosis, so I would give the entire line so far a 1 out of 5 rating, Solosis received a 1, Duosion a 2.

Solosis -- Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Solosis from the Plasma Blast Pokemon Card Set.  Solosis is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 30.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Solosis does not have an Ability and it only has one move.  The only move that this card has is called Hide, this move requires one psychic energy card and prevents all effects of an attack from your opponent the next turn if you flip a heads when you flip a coin.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Solosis is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Duosion and a stage 2 evolution in Reuniclus, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, since the only move this card has basically is a move that tries to make Solosis survive until you can evolve it, I would definitely not recommend using this card in a deck.  This card has an extremely low hp, and a terrible move that can never do any damage.  So I would not use this card at all on its own, because all you can ever do with it is to try and prevent your opponent from attacking.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 1 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a very below average basic Pokemon card.  This is definitely one of the worst basic Pokemon cards from the Plasma Blast set, not only does this card have the lowest hp on a card I've ever seen, but its move not only does no damage, but if you get a tails the move does nothing at all.  So a pretty disappointing review today, hopefully Solosis' evolutions are a bit better than this card.
