Beldum -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Beldum from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Beldum is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 60.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Beldum does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Calculate, this move requires one colorless energy card and allows you to look at the top 4 cards of your deck and rearrange them in any order you like.  Beldum's other move is called Psypunch, this move requires two energy cards, one each of colorless and psychic, and does 20 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Beldum is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Metang and a stage 2 evolution in Metagross, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, this card may work well if you're looking for one more Pokemon card to fit into your deck.  You could use this card as a starter card in your deck, move it into the active Pokemon spot early in the game, use Calculate first to get some energy cards on the top of your deck or basic Pokemon, whichever you need more, then after that use Psypunch every turn.  I wouldn't use more than 1 of these in a psychic type deck unless you plan on using it with Beldum's evolutions.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card.  This card is pretty average overall, average hp, average retreat cost, and two average moves.  I wish this card could do some damage for only one energy card but at least it can do something for only one energy card so it isn't that bad.  So again, I wouldn't use this card in a deck without its evolutions unless you need one more card in your deck, then this card wouldn't be that bad to use.

Sableye -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Sableye from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Sableye is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a no weakness, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Sableye does not have an Ability, but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Scratch, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 10 damage.  Sableye's second move is called Shadow Cage, this move requires two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, and does 20 damage, plus makes your opponent unable to retreat during their next turn.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Sableye is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  If you're building a psychic type deck, this would be the perfect starter card for your deck and I would recommend using 4 of these in your deck.  I would hope to get a Sableye card into the active Pokemon spot to start the game then to use whichever move I can when attacking.  The reason I would have four of these in a deck is so I would have a good chance of getting one early in the game and my deck would have a good basic Pokemon card that I could put on the bench and put into the active Pokemon spot no matter the point in the game.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an above average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card set.  I really like this card as a starter card in a psychic type deck.  I like that this card has a low retreat cost, two moves, and an above average hp.  Besides having two moves, I like that this card's two moves don't require just psychic energy cards, so this card would more easily fit in a dual type deck.  But overall, if you're looking to add some basic Pokemon cards to your psychic type deck, this is definitely one I would recommend.

Espeon -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Espeon from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Espeon is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Espeon does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Psy Alert, this move requires one colorless energy card and does 20 damage and allows you to replenish your hand so it has 5 cards in it.  Espeon's second move is called Shadow Ball, this move requires one psychic energy card and does 40 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Espeon is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Eevee into play, like I mentioned in earlier Eevee-evolution reviews from this set, there are actually two Eevee cards in this set but I have not reviewed either of them yet, you may also want to consider using one of the two Eevee cards from the Dark Explorers set, and then evolve Eevee into Espeon.  Because I haven't reviewed either Eevee cards from this set yet I won't talk now about which one of those cards are best to use, but regardless of which one you use, if you want to use Espeon in a deck, I would suggest using it in a spread damage type deck, with at least one other Pokemon in the deck that can do damage to all of your opponent's Pokemon at once.  That way, when you get Espeon into the active Pokemon spot, you can pick out your opponent's weakest Pokemon and use Shadow Ball on it and hopefully knock it out within a turn or two.  The only time I would use Psy Alert would be if I didn't have a psychic energy card on Espeon, or I really needed more cards in my hand.  I would use a 2-2 line of Eevee and Espeon in a deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 4 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an above average stage 1 Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon card set.  This card is pretty standard hp wise, retreat cost wise, and that it has two moves.  However, even though Espeon's moves don't do that much damage, I like that they are both extremely quick, and I like how this card can greatly aid in a spread damage type deck.  So so far, from the Plasma Freeze set, it seems like several of the Eevee evolutions are very good.

Mr. Mime -- Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Review

Pokemon Card Overview:

Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Mr. Mime from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card Set.  Mr. Mime is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 70. It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Mr. Mime's Ability is called Bench Barrier and it says that all attacks done to your benched Pokemon are prevented.  Besides the Ability, Mr. Mime just has one move called Psy Bolt, this move requires two energy cards, one each of colorless and psychic, and does 20 damage, plus if you get a heads when you flip a coin, the defending Pokemon is paralyzed.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Mr. Mime is a basic Pokemon with no evolutions, you only have to use this Pokemon in your deck if you want to use this card.  I actually like this card a fair amount and would use the card in my deck in two scenarios.  The first would be as a starter type Pokemon in a psychic type deck, I would include up to four of these and use Psy Bolt when possible, the earlier in the game the better.  The other time I would use this card in a deck is if you have a card in your deck that does damage to your own Pokemon, I would then include one Mr. Mime card in your deck, put it on the bench the whole game and prevent your benched Pokemon from being damaged.  So overall, this is a good card that I would recommend using in a psychic or spread damage type deck.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is an average basic Pokemon card from the Plasma Freeze Pokemon Card set.  Like I mentioned in the strategy section of this post, I like this card a fair amount and I think it is quite versatile, with that being said, this card isn't extraordinary at anything so that is why I'm only giving it an average rating, but it still deserves to be in most psychic type decks because the card will definitely help you some.
