Golett -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Golett Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Golett from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Golett is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 90.  It has a x2 weakness to darkness type Pokemon, a -20 resistance to fighting type Pokemon, and a three colorless energy card retreat cost. Golett does not have an Ability but it does have two moves, the first move that this card has is called Pound and for two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, this move does 20 damage.  Golett's second move is called Rock Smash, this move requires three energy cards to use, two colorless and one psychic, and does 30 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin it does 30 more damage for a total of 60 damage.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Golett is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Golurk, which I'll be reviewing tomorrow, you'll more than likely want to use this card with that Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed that card yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolution.  So, on its own I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck.  I say this because both of the moves Golett has are extremely slow to use and neither do above average damage.  Plus, if you do use this card in a deck and have to put it into the active Pokemon spot before it is ready to attack, you'll need a whopping 3 energy cards to retreat it.  If for some reason you do decide to use this card in a deck, I would recommend getting it set up on the bench first before putting it into the active Pokemon spot, then use Rock Smash every turn, hoping for a heads so that move can do average damage.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  So in my opinion, this is below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Even though this card does have a high HP, and two moves, I am giving this card a below average rating because neither move it has does even average damage, and the retreat cost on this card is extremely high.  So if you're building a psychic type deck, there are surely better Pokemon cards out there for you to use.

Gothitelle -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Gothitelle Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothitelle from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card Set.  Gothitelle is a stage 2, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 130.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a two colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothitelle's Ability is called Teleport Room and says that once during your turn you may discard a Stadium card in play and exchange it with a Stadium card in your discard pile.  Besides the Ability, Gothitelle just has one move called Psy Report, this move requires three energy cards, two colorless and one psychic, and does 60 damage, plus it allows you to see your opponent's entire hand.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothitelle is a stage 2 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Gothita into play and then evolve it into Gothorita before you can evolve Gothorita into Gothitelle, both of those Pokemon are from this set and I've reviewed both of them the last couple of days.  If you've read my reviews of those cards you'll know that I thought both cards were slightly below average because neither has a high or even average HP and neither card can do that much damage.  So knowing this about the first two Pokemon in this family and looking at this Gothitelle card, I wouldn't recommend using this line in a deck unless you are setting your deck up around using specific Stadium cards, then I could potentially see putting a 1-1-1 line Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle in your deck, keeping these Pokemon on the bench the whole time and eventually getting Gothitelle on the bench to utilize its Ability.  Once you do get Gothitelle on your bench, if you're using it, it would be worth it to put three energy cards on it, because that move does do 60 damage which is average and it will be a big bonus for you to see your opponent's hand and to know their strategy.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 3 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is an average Stage 2 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Even though this card has a little lower HP than most Stage 2 Pokemon out there I am still giving this card an average rating because its Ability is good, specifically if you're using a lot of Stadium cards, and the one move it has is pretty decent doing 60 damage a turn and showing you your opponent's hand.  But overall, I cannot recommend any of the Pokemon in this family for using in a deck, I would give the entire line a 2 out of 5 rating, individually Gothita and Gothorita were 2s and Gothitelle was a 3.

Gothorita -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Gothorita Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothorita from the Furious Fists Pokemon Card set.  Gothorita is a stage 1, psychic type Pokemon card, with an hp of 80.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothorita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Fortunate Eye, this move requires one colorless energy card to use and allows you to look at the top 5 cards of your opponent's deck and arrange them in any order that you'd like.  Gothorita's second move is called Smack, this move does 30 damage for two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothorita is a stage 1 Pokemon card, you'll first have to get Gothita into play (I reviewed Gothita from this set yesterday) and then evolve Gothita into Gothorita.  Gothorita does have a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle that you'll probably want to use with this Pokemon line but since I haven't reviewed that card yet, the strategy below will act like Gothorita is the final evolution in this line.  So if you read yesterday's review of Gothita, you'll know that I thought that card was a below average Basic Pokemon card because it had a lower HP, and even though it did have two moves, neither could do more than 10 damage.  Because of this, I didn't recommend using Gothita in a deck on its own.  So knowing this about Gothita and looking at this Gothorita card, unless you really want to mess with your opponent and rearrange the top of their deck by using Fortunate Eye, I wouldn't recommend using this card in a deck either.  I say this because Gothorita has a low HP, and neither move on this card is that great, Smack is a pretty average move.  However, if you choose to use the first two Pokemon in this line, I would move Gothita into the active Pokemon spot right away, do 10 damage with that then evolve Gothita into Gothorita as soon as possible, then depending on if you want to mess with your opponent's cards, either use Fortunate Eye, or Smack.  I would use Smack most turns if I had this card in the active Pokemon spot.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion this is a below average Stage 1 Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Because this card has a low HP and two average to below average moves is why I'm giving this card a below average rating and not recommending to use this card in a deck.  Together with Gothita from this set, I would give the two cards a combined rating of 2 out of 5, just like the rating each card received individually.

Gothita -- Furious Fists Pokemon Card Review

Gothita Furious Fists Pokemon Card
Pokemon Card Overview:
Today's Pokemon Card Review is of Gothita from the Furious Fists set.  Gothita is a basic, psychic type Pokemon card with an hp of 50.  It has a x2 weakness to psychic type Pokemon, no resistance type, and a one colorless energy card retreat cost.  Gothita does not have an Ability but it does have two moves.  The first move that this card has is called Slap, for one colorless energy card this move does 10 damage.  Gothita's second move is called Psy Bolt, for two energy cards, one each of psychic and colorless, the move does 10 damage, plus if you get a heads when flipping a coin you can paralyze the defending Pokemon.

Pokemon Card Strategy:
So as far as strategy goes, since Gothita is a basic Pokemon card with a stage 1 evolution in Gothorita and a stage 2 evolution in Gothitelle, which I'll be reviewing the next two days, you'll more than likely want to use those cards with this Pokemon.  However, since I haven't reviewed those cards yet, I'll just act as though I plan on using this card without its evolutions.  So on its own, I probably wouldn't use this card.  But if I were to use this card with its evolutions I would be very willing to use this card as a starter Pokemon.  If you do choose to use this Pokemon on its own, I would try and get it into the active Pokemon spot as early in the game as possible, then use Slap the first turn and Psy Bolt every turn after that.  If you're able to flip a heads when using Psy Bolt, you will be able to prolong the time Gothita will be in the active Pokemon spot and allow you to better set up your bench.  The main reason I wouldn't use this card in a deck on its own is because of Gothita's low HP, but only being able to do a maximum of 10 damage is also a major reason.

Pokemon Card Rating:
I would give this card a 2 out of 5 rating.  In my opinion, this is a below average Basic Pokemon card from the Furious Fists set.  Like I mentioned above, this card will be better when using it with Gothorita and Gothitelle, but by itself, this card has too low of HP for my liking and can only do 10 damage which isn't very good for a Basic, starter type Pokemon.  So if you're building a psychic type deck, this card wouldn't be the best card to use in it, but it could definitely be used.
